To check a T-Mobile phone promotion, first review the promotions listed for the affected line in your account, then compare that listing with the credits on your bill. Sign in as the Primary Account Holder: in T-Life, open Account and select View promotions; on T-Mobile.com, open Bill & pay and select View my discounts & promotions. A promotion appearing in the account view and a credit appearing on a bill are related checks, but they are not the same thing.
Check your account’s promotion listing
Start with the account-level view because it shows promotions associated with your T-Mobile account and, where applicable, the line they cover. T-Mobile specifies that the Primary Account Holder can review current promotions. If you are not that account holder, ask them to check or sign in with their authorization; a different user’s view may not expose the account’s promotion details.

In the T-Life app
- Sign in as the Primary Account Holder.
- Open Account.
- Select View promotions.
- Find the promotion and check that it applies to the phone line you are investigating.
On T-Mobile.com
- Sign in as the Primary Account Holder.
- Open Bill & pay.
- Select View my discounts & promotions.
- Review the relevant line and promotion. T-Mobile says this online view reports when no promotion is present.
If the promotion is missing from this view, note that result, but do not assume it explains a specific bill entry by itself. Continue by checking the bill and the offer’s terms. Only T-Mobile or someone with access to the private account can confirm its particular enrollment status.
Compare the promotion with the bill
Open the bill for the relevant billing period and look for the promotional description. For a phone purchased through an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP), check the Equipment section for a Recurring Device Credit. Compare the credit with the device and line tied to the promotion rather than relying on a similar-looking discount elsewhere on the account.

The account listing answers whether a promotion is shown for the account or line; the bill shows what was charged or credited in that billing period. A listing does not by itself establish that a credit has already posted, and a bill should be read alongside the offer requirements and timing.

Use the promotion code to check the offer terms
Find the promo code in the enrollment notification or on the bill. Search for that code on T-Mobile’s offer-details page and check the requirements attached to that specific promotion. Do not assume two phone promotions have identical rules: eligibility can vary by offer.

For a recurring device-credit promotion, compare the bill entry with the phone’s EIP and the offer requirements. T-Mobile describes recurring device credits as requiring an EIP purchase and other offer conditions. The credit amount and the device installment amount are separate bill components, so a device balance alone does not confirm whether the promotion has been applied.

A missing credit on the first bill does not always mean the promotion failed. T-Mobile says Recurring Device Credits can take up to two bill cycles to appear. If the credit is absent from the first bill, T-Mobile says two credits will appear on the next bill.

Some promotions split their value between an initial trade-in credit and recurring monthly credits. T-Mobile’s first-bill guidance says recurring credits may not show until the second bill. A trade-in credit can also depend on T-Mobile receiving and confirming the trade-in device, so shipping or processing can affect when the related credit appears.
Use the timing guidance for the offer and situation you have, not as a blanket guarantee that every promotion will post on the same schedule. If the relevant billing cycles have passed and the expected credits still do not appear, check the promo code’s conditions and the account details before contacting support.

If a promotion is missing or stops appearing
Work through the checks in order so you can distinguish a timing issue from an eligibility or account-status issue:

- Identify the offer. Locate its promo code in the enrollment notification or bill, then check the offer details for that code.
- Compare the bill components. For a device-credit offer, look at the EIP and the Recurring Device Credit in the Equipment section, then compare them with the offer terms.
- Consider posting and trade-in timing. Up to two bill cycles may pass before recurring device credits appear. If the offer involves a trade-in, check whether the device was received and confirmed, and whether any deferred trade-in requirements were met.
- Review changes that can affect eligibility. T-Mobile lists changes to a required plan or service, closure of the linked line or EIP, returns or exchanges outside the offer window, and a late or ineligible deferred trade-in as examples of reasons promotional credits can end.
- Contact T-Mobile if the records still conflict. Have the bill and promo code available so support can review the account-specific enrollment and credit history.
These are possible explanations, not a diagnosis of an individual account. Public information cannot determine whether a particular customer enrolled correctly or resolve a disputed credit; that requires access to the account and the offer’s enrollment details.
What to have ready when you contact T-Mobile
- The billing period where the credit is missing or changed.
- The affected phone line and, for a device offer, its EIP details.
- The promo code and enrollment notification, if available.
- Trade-in shipment or confirmation details, if the promotion involved a trade-in.
- A note of whether the promotion appears in the account view and which bill entries you compared.
These details help keep the discussion focused on the specific offer, line, device, and bill rather than on a general promotion description.
