The reliable way to find the country of origin for a Logitech keyboard or mouse is to inspect that individual unit or its retail packaging. Turn the device over and photograph every label, then check the box for a “Made in …” or “Country of origin” statement. Record the exact model or part number and serial number, use Logitech Support or Logitech Options+ (Logi Tune for supported business products) to verify the device identity, and consult Logitech’s regional Product Compliance Certification Search for model-specific documentation. Logitech’s general factory disclosures provide useful context, but they do not establish where your particular unit was manufactured.
Start with the physical unit
Country-of-origin information, when provided, is normally tied to the product or the packaging—not to the company’s nationality, the retailer’s location, or the country where you bought it. Logitech’s guidance places mouse and keyboard serial numbers on a printed label or sticker underneath the product. The same underside label commonly includes the model identifier and regulatory or origin markings.

- Disconnect or switch off the keyboard or mouse so you can turn it over safely.
- Use bright, even light and photograph the entire underside before trying to read individual lines.
- Take close-up images of the serial number, model or part number, regulatory symbols, and any line beginning with “Made in” or “Country of origin.”
- Keep the photographs with the purchase record. A clear image preserves information that may fade or become difficult to read later.
Do not assume that a model name alone identifies the production batch. The same retail name can be sold in different markets and across different production runs. The model or part number, serial number, batch or production code (if printed), and origin statement should be captured together.
Where to look on a keyboard
Turn the keyboard over and inspect the broad underside panel, not just the feet or battery cover. Look for a factory label or a molded panel carrying the serial number. Read every line: the model designation may be separate from the part number, while regulatory text and an origin statement may appear in smaller type. If the keyboard has a removable battery compartment, inspect the outside underside label first and then any clearly labeled interior area without peeling stickers or removing components.

Where to look on a mouse
For a mouse, inspect the base around the sensor, power switch, glide feet, and battery or receiver compartment. The serial label may be small, so photograph the whole base and then a close-up. Do not infer origin from the receiver’s label or from a replacement battery; the evidence you need is the marking associated with the mouse itself.
How to read an origin marking
A statement such as “Made in [country]” on the device is the strongest evidence for that unit. “Assembled in” is a different wording and should be recorded exactly as printed. Regulatory symbols, importer addresses, or a country code are not automatically manufacturing-origin statements, so do not substitute them for an explicit origin line.
Check the retail box as a second source
Examine all sides of the original box, especially the barcode panel and regulatory information panel. Look for “Made in …,” “Country of origin,” or equivalent wording. Packaging can contain an origin statement even when the device label is abbreviated or hard to read.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Record the box serial number separately. A packaging serial can differ from the serial printed on the device, so matching only one number can create a false identification. Photograph the barcode, model or part number, market or region wording, and origin line in one set of images. If the box and device disagree, do not silently choose one: note the discrepancy and verify the product identity with Logitech Support.
Why the box’s market matters
A keyboard or mouse sold for one region may have different packaging, regulatory text, language, or part number from the same product sold elsewhere. The market printed on the box therefore helps explain differences between two apparently identical units. It does not, by itself, prove that the manufacturing country changed; use the explicit origin marking for that conclusion.

Confirm the exact model, part number, and serial number
Origin research is only as reliable as the product identification behind it. Logitech Support allows a product search by product name, model number, or part number. Enter the identifier exactly as printed, including letters, digits, and hyphens, and compare the result with the physical product.
Model number versus part number
- Model number: identifies the product family or hardware model.
- Part number: can identify a particular market, bundle, color, language layout, or sales configuration.
- Serial number: identifies an individual unit or production record and should not be treated as interchangeable with the model.
Write each field on its own line in your notes. A model name such as a familiar series label is not enough when comparing units, because different part numbers can share the same commercial name.
Verify in Logitech Options+
For supported consumer keyboards and mice, open Logitech Options+, select the device, and open its settings or details view. Use the displayed model and serial information to check that the software sees the same hardware you photographed. Software identification is particularly useful when the underside label is worn, but it normally identifies the device rather than adding a country-of-origin statement that is absent from the physical label.
Verify supported business products in Logi Tune
Logi Tune can provide model and serial details for supported business products. Select the connected device and open its information or settings screen. Availability of fields depends on the product and software support, so treat the application as an identity check, not as a replacement for an origin marking on the unit or box.
Use the regional Product Compliance Certification Search
Logitech provides a regional Product Compliance Certification Search for model-specific declarations. It is useful when you need documentation associated with a particular model and market, especially when the printed label is incomplete.

- Open Logitech’s Product Compliance Certification Search.
- Choose the country or region relevant to the product or sale.
- Enter the exact model number or part number from the device or box.
- Review the returned declarations and check that the model, market, and product description match your unit.
- Save the declaration or record its title and date with your photographs and serial number.
Read the result as compliance documentation for the selected model and region. A declaration can confirm which product was assessed and which regulatory market it serves; it is not automatically proof that every unit with that model name was built in one country. When the declaration and the physical “Made in” statement appear to conflict, preserve both records and ask Logitech Support to clarify the specific part number or production run.

What Logitech’s manufacturing disclosures tell you—and what they do not
Logitech says its manufacturing operations comprise one production facility in Suzhou, China, where products are assembled and tested. That statement explains that Suzhou is part of Logitech’s manufacturing operation; it does not say that every Logitech keyboard or mouse is made there.
Logitech also describes a hybrid manufacturing model involving joint-design manufacturers and contract manufacturers. Components come from suppliers in Asia, the United States, and Europe. Assembly, testing, component sourcing, and corporate ownership are different stages of a supply chain, so a component’s origin is not necessarily the finished product’s country of origin.
For the 2023 reporting period, Logitech identified 255 of 460 suppliers as in scope for its conflict-minerals country-of-origin inquiry. That figure demonstrates how broad the supplier network is. It is not a product-level origin statement and cannot identify where an individual keyboard or mouse was assembled.
Why a general statement cannot answer “Was mine made in China?”
A company can operate a facility in China while also using contract manufacturers and production runs associated with other locations. Conversely, components sourced from several countries can be assembled in one country. The only defensible answer for your unit comes from the origin marking tied to that unit or its packaging, with model-specific documentation used as supporting evidence.

Decision guide for a “Made in China?” question
- A clear device marking says “Made in China.” Record it as the origin of that unit, along with the model, part number, and serial number.
- The box says “Made in China,” but the device has no origin line. Record the box statement and identify the device by its own serial and model. Keep the distinction clear because the box serial may differ.
- The device says one country and the box says another. Photograph both, check the part and serial numbers, and ask Logitech Support to explain the discrepancy before treating either statement as conclusive.
- There is no readable origin marking. Use Logitech Support, Options+ or Logi Tune, and the regional compliance search to establish the exact model and market. Those tools may narrow the documentation available, but they do not turn a general corporate factory statement into proof for your individual unit.
- You only know that Logitech operates in Suzhou. That is context, not an answer about your keyboard or mouse.
How to compare two Logitech units
When two keyboards or mice look identical, compare the fields below in the order shown. Do not conclude that they share an origin simply because their marketing names match.
| Comparison field | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Exact model number | Every letter, digit, and hyphen | Separates product families and revisions. |
| Part number | Device and box values separately | Can distinguish market, layout, bundle, or sales configuration. |
| Serial number | Unit serial and packaging serial | Shows whether the box belongs to the individual device; the two can differ. |
| Production or batch code | Any additional printed code | Helps Logitech identify a production run when support investigates a discrepancy. |
| Country-of-origin wording | Exact phrase and country | “Made in” and “Assembled in” do not carry identical wording. |
| Market or region | Box language, regulatory panel, and selected compliance region | Explains regional packaging and declaration differences. |
| Label location | Device underside or box only | Distinguishes evidence tied to the unit from packaging information. |
Make the comparison in a single worksheet or note rather than relying on memory. If one field is absent, write “not stated” instead of filling it with an assumption based on the other unit.

The label is too small or faint
Photograph the entire label first, then take several close-ups at different angles. Avoid glare from a phone flash by changing the angle of the light. Compare the image with the box and with the model and serial shown in Options+ or Logi Tune. Do not remove a label to make it easier to read.
The label is worn or missing
Use the original box, purchase record, and software identification to reconstruct the exact model and part number. Contact Logitech Support with the serial number if any portion remains legible. If no serial is available, provide the product name, model number, or part number, since Logitech Support accepts those search methods.

Check that you selected the correct connected device and that you are using the application appropriate to the product: Options+ for supported consumer devices or Logi Tune for supported business products. If the application still cannot identify it, rely on the physical label and box, then use Logitech Support with the identifiers you have.

The compliance search returns no result
Re-enter the model or part number exactly, try the region associated with the packaging, and check whether a suffix or hyphen was omitted. A missing result does not prove that the product lacks an origin; it means that the selected search combination did not return a declaration. Preserve the physical marking and ask Logitech Support for model-specific help.
The box and device appear inconsistent
Stop short of declaring counterfeit or mislabeling from appearance alone. Compare both serial numbers, the part numbers, the market information, and the wording of each origin statement. Submit those details to Logitech Support and retain photographs of every panel so the discrepancy can be investigated.
Keep a useful origin record
A complete record takes only a few minutes and makes later support conversations much easier. Store the following together:

- The model and serial displayed in Options+ or Logi Tune, when available.

- The purchase date, seller, and market shown on the receipt or packaging.
Serial numbers are unique device identifiers, so avoid posting clear serial photographs publicly. Share them only with the retailer or Logitech Support when needed to resolve an identification or origin question.
Bottom line
To find where your Logitech keyboard or mouse was made, trust the explicit “Made in” or equivalent marking on the individual device first, then use the box and exact model or part number as corroboration. Logitech Support, Options+, Logi Tune, and the regional compliance search can verify which product and market you have. Logitech’s Suzhou facility and wider supplier network explain how the company manufactures products, but neither establishes the origin of a particular unit.
