Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteFor official headline figures, check the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s dated foreign-trade releases. To find imports or exports for a specific product and partner country, use UN Comtrade: set Uzbekistan as the reporter, then choose the period, trade flow, product classification and code, and partner. Keep those selections with the result so the lookup can be reproduced and compared fairly.
Choose the right source for your question
Uzbekistan’s National Statistics Committee releases provide dated national context and identify whether figures are preliminary. They are useful for checking headline foreign-trade totals, but the available documentation does not establish a stable public national interface for filtering a product by partner. For those dimensions, UN Comtrade documents a query workflow.

The Committee’s January–December 2025 foreign-trade release reports goods and services separately. It gives goods imports of USD 42,083.9 million and service imports of USD 5,270.6 million for that period. These are national aggregate figures, not product-by-partner results. The Committee’s January 2026 release is explicitly preliminary; use its stated status when citing figures from it.
UN Comtrade offers the product, partner, period, reporter and flow dimensions needed for a more specific lookup. Its interface says: “UN Comtrade regularly updates its data as official information becomes available from statistical authorities.” It also says country postings have no fixed schedule, so check whether the period you need is available rather than assuming a regular release date. See the UN Comtrade query interface and its query guide.

Run a product-by-partner query in UN Comtrade
- Set the period and frequency. Choose annual or monthly data, then select the year or month you want. Available periods depend on reporting and database updates.
- Set the reporter to Uzbekistan. The reporter is the country whose trade you are examining. Do not confuse it with the partner country.
- Choose the partner scope. Select a particular country for bilateral trade, several partners for a set of country-level rows, or World for an aggregate partner total. The query guide describes World as the aggregate partner and explains that selecting all partners can return partner-level rows.
- Select the product classification and code. Choose a supported classification, such as HS, SITC, BEC or as-reported, and enter the commodity code—or select total if you want an all-commodities result. A product name alone is not enough to make a lookup reproducible: codes differ by classification, so record both the system and code.
- Choose the trade flow. Select imports or exports. Run the flows separately when comparing them, and make sure both results use the same period, product code and partner scope.
- Review the result and its status. Confirm the returned reporter, partner, period, classification, code and flow before using a figure. Where relevant, note whether a national release calls the data preliminary.
The UN Comtrade query guide explains the interface’s available dimensions and output options. Classic mode applies defaults to some fields; Plus exposes additional dimensions where reported. Check the selected fields rather than assuming defaults match your question.
Make the result reproducible and comparable
When you save or publish a figure, record the source, period, flow, reporter, partner scope, classification and commodity code, and whether the figure is preliminary or final when that status is available. If comparing two values, also align the measure—such as trade value or quantity. A difference in any of these choices can produce totals that are not directly comparable.

- Imports versus exports: identify the flow for each figure; do not treat one as the reverse of the other without checking the reported data.
- Partner versus World: a country-level partner result and a World aggregate answer different questions.
- Classification and code: keep the classification with the code; matching product wording does not guarantee matching coverage.
- Period and release vintage: state the exact period and consult the current result, since Comtrade updates as official information becomes available and country posting schedules are not fixed.
- Value or quantity: specify which measure you are citing and avoid comparing unlike measures.
Know the query and download limits
UN Comtrade’s public preview is capped at 500 records. Download and delivery limits vary by registration or subscription, so a large or repeated extraction may require a different route. Consult the current query documentation and API documentation for endpoint details and access terms before building a recurring or high-volume workflow. Terms and limits can change.
UNdata’s Comtrade record is another access point, but its stated last-update metadata is not necessarily the latest period available in the live Comtrade database. For current product-by-partner work, verify the result in the Comtrade query interface.
