Get an indicative price by SMS
- Open IndianOil’s Petrol and Diesel Price page and find the relevant dealer code. The page lists example codes for many cities; for example, it shows New Delhi as
RSP 102090. - For an individual IndianOil pump, look for its dealer code displayed at the premises.
- Send
RSP <space> Dealer Code of Petrol Pumpto92249 92249. The reply provides an indicative price for that location.
IndianOil says daily price changes take effect at 6 am. Query on the day you need the price rather than relying on a saved result or an older rate.

Why the SMS result may not match every pump
A city or location result is not a guaranteed price for every outlet. IndianOil notes that prices may vary among pumps within the same city, town or sales area. For the price at a particular outlet, check the rate posted at that pump before fuelling.

Locate an IndianOil pump
Use the IndianOil Locator/Finder to search by city or locality and identify nearby IndianOil stations. For a specific outlet’s price, use its displayed dealer code in the SMS lookup or check the posted price at the pump.

Understand state rates and price components
The Government of India’s Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) provides state retail selling price (RSP) material and petrol and diesel price build-ups on its Price Build up of Petrol and Diesel page. PPAC reports that page was last updated 10 September 2026. It is useful for state-level context and price components, but it is not a guarantee of the rate at an individual pump.

When checking or sharing a price, specify whether it is petrol or diesel, the city or sales area, the outlet if known, and when you checked. Also identify the source: an indicative SMS result, state RSP information, and a pump’s posted price answer different questions.
