You do not need a Powerbeats-specific replacement cable. Use any suitable USB-C charging cable with a compatible USB power adapter: place the Powerbeats Fit earbuds in their case (or leave the case empty), connect the cable to the case’s USB-C port, and plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
What you need
The Powerbeats Fit charging case has a USB-C charging port. Beats lists both the USB-C cable and the power adapter as sold separately, so replacing the missing cable with a standard, compatible USB-C cable is the normal charging setup rather than an unofficial workaround.

| Item | Requirement | What is not established |
|---|---|---|
| Charging cable | A USB-C cable whose connector fits the case’s USB-C port | No particular brand or Powerbeats-only cable is required by the official instructions |
| Power source | A compatible USB power adapter connected to a power socket | The official material does not specify a required wattage, charging standard, or preferred brand |
| Earbuds | Optional during case charging | The case can be charged with or without the earbuds inside |
A USB-C cable that came with another phone, tablet, computer accessory, or charger can work if its plug fits securely and the cable is undamaged. The important feature here is the USB-C connector for the case, not a Beats logo on the cable.

- Find a suitable cable. Use a standard USB-C charging cable. Check that the small USB-C plug is the end that goes into the Powerbeats Fit case; some cables have USB-C on both ends, while others have USB-C on one end and a different USB connector on the other.
- Open the charging case and decide whether to leave the earbuds inside. They can remain in the case while it charges. If you only need to replenish the case, remove the earbuds and set them aside.
- Insert the USB-C plug into the case. Push it straight into the case’s USB-C charging port without forcing it. A plug that does not seat normally may be the wrong connector, blocked by debris, or damaged.
- Connect the other end to a compatible power adapter. If your cable has USB-C on the adapter end, use a USB-C power adapter. If it has a larger USB connector on the adapter end, use an adapter with the matching port.
- Plug the adapter into a power socket. This is the charging arrangement described in Apple’s Beats charging guide: case, USB-C cable, compatible adapter, and a power outlet.
- Leave the case connected for charging. You can close the lid and leave the earbuds inside, or charge the empty case. Disconnect the adapter when you have finished charging or when you no longer need the case connected.
The official instructions do not require a special cable, a particular adapter brand, or a particular cable length. They establish the USB-C connection and compatible adapter as the required arrangement.

Can the case charge without the earbuds?
Yes. Apple’s Beats User Guide explicitly says that the Powerbeats Fit case can be charged without the earbuds inside. Remove both earbuds if you want to charge only the case, then connect the case exactly as described above. This can be useful when the earbuds are being used or stored elsewhere, and it does not change the cable or adapter requirement.
Choosing a replacement cable and adapter
USB-C cable fit
Look for a cable described as USB-C and inspect the physical plug before buying or using it. The plug should enter the case’s port smoothly and sit firmly. Do not confuse a USB-A cable with a USB-C cable: USB-A is the older, rectangular connector commonly found on the adapter side of older chargers, while the case requires USB-C at the case end.

(3) Faster data sync (480Mbps) with minimal signal interference
A cable used for charging another USB-C device is the most direct replacement. The supplied specifications do not state that Powerbeats Fit needs a proprietary pinout, a special data cable, or a particular power rating in the cable.
Compatible power adapter
The cable alone is not a complete charger. You also need a compatible USB power adapter connected to an electrical outlet. If you already have an adapter that accepts the cable’s other connector and is intended for USB charging, it can provide the required power connection. The official sources do not name a minimum or maximum wattage, so selecting a wattage beyond the published information would be speculation.

Condition and handling
- Do not use a cable with exposed conductors, a split jacket, bent contacts, or a loose connector.
- Keep the plug aligned with the port; never twist or force it.
- If the cable becomes unusually hot, smells burnt, or repeatedly disconnects, stop using it and replace it.
- Keep the case and connector dry before plugging them together.
Wireless charging and other shortcuts
Do not assume that a Qi pad, a phone’s reverse-wireless-charging feature, or another Beats case will charge Powerbeats Fit. Apple’s charging guide specifies a USB-C cable and compatible adapter for Powerbeats Fit. On that same guide, the explicit Qi-certified wireless-charging instruction is for Powerbeats Pro 2, not Powerbeats Fit. That model-specific distinction means a wireless pad is not a verified charging method for Powerbeats Fit.
Likewise, a different model’s case should not be treated as a substitute. Even if another case appears to fit the earbuds, the official instructions supplied for Powerbeats Fit establish only the USB-C cable-and-adapter method.

|---|---|---|
| Earbud playback from one charge | Up to 7 hours | Beats product specification; publication year is not stated on the accessed product page |

| Fast Fuel | Up to 1 hour of playback from a 5-minute charge when the battery is low | Beats product specification; the figure is a stated maximum, not a guarantee for every use condition |
These are product specifications, not results from a dated independent test. Actual playback can vary with volume, features in use, wireless conditions, and other operating factors. The figures do not change the replacement-cable procedure.

The plug will not enter the port
- Confirm that the connector is USB-C and not USB-A, micro-USB, or another shape.
- Turn the plug around only if the cable design permits it; USB-C is reversible, but forcing an incorrectly shaped plug can damage the port.
- Check the port for visible lint or debris. Do not push metal objects into the port.
The cable is connected but there is no apparent charging
- Unplug the cable from the case and adapter.
- Reconnect the case end fully, then reconnect the adapter end.
- Try a different known-good USB-C charging cable if one is available.
- Try a different compatible power adapter or wall outlet.
- Check whether the issue follows the cable, adapter, or outlet. Replacing the part that fails this comparison is more useful than buying a model-specific cable.
The supplied official material does not document a Powerbeats Fit-specific reset procedure or a required LED interpretation. If changing the cable, adapter, and outlet does not restore charging, consult Apple or Beats support rather than applying a reset sequence intended for another model.

The earbuds are not in the case
That condition alone does not prevent the case from charging. Apple’s guide expressly permits charging the case without the earbuds, so test the case by itself when diagnosing a charging problem.
You are considering a wireless pad
Use the documented USB-C method instead. The official Qi statement on the guide applies to Powerbeats Pro 2, while Powerbeats Fit is listed with USB-C cable charging.
Quick checklist
- USB-C plug fits the Powerbeats Fit case.
- Cable is intact and seats fully.
- Other cable end matches the power adapter.
- Adapter is connected to a live power socket.
- Earbuds are either in the case or intentionally removed; both arrangements are supported.
- No wireless pad or different-model case is being substituted for the documented method.
Sources and scope
The charging procedure and the ability to charge the empty case come from Apple’s official Beats User Guide: Charge Beats headphones, earphones and speakers. The USB-C port, separately sold cable and adapter, and battery figures come from Beats’ official Powerbeats Fit product specifications. Those pages were checked on October 13, 2026; the product page does not state a publication year for the battery figures.

The Bottom Line
Use a normal USB-C charging cable and a compatible USB power adapter. Connect the case to the adapter and a wall outlet; the earbuds may be inside or out. Powerbeats Fit is not documented as Qi-wireless-chargeable, so the USB-C method is the verified option.
