You can change your Apple Music profile picture from the Music app’s profile editor. Open View Profile, choose Edit, then use the photo control available on your device. Apple documents the photo-selection steps in detail for Mac and Windows; its iPhone guide explains how to reach Edit but does not specify the image picker.
Change your Apple Music profile picture on iPhone
- Open the Music app.
- Tap the My Account button or your profile picture.
- Tap View Profile at the top of the screen.
- Tap Edit.
Apple’s iPhone instructions describe how to reach profile editing but do not identify a separate photo-selection control or save button. The exact image-editing controls may depend on the app version.

Change your Apple Music profile picture on Mac
- Open Music.
- Click My Account in the lower-left corner, then click View Profile.
- Click Edit.
- Click the camera button and choose a photo from Defaults, Recents, or Other.
Apple’s Mac guide says the profile editor can also be used to change your name and sharing settings.

Change your Apple Music profile picture on Windows
- Open the Apple Music app.
- Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select View Profile.
- Select Edit.
- Select your photo or monogram, then choose a JPG photo in File Explorer.
- Select Save.
If you can’t find your profile or Edit
- Make sure you’re using the Music app and signed in to an account with Apple Music access.
- Apple says creating an Apple Music profile requires an Apple Music subscription. Apple Music and profile eligibility can vary by country or region.
- Apple’s guides say children under 13 can’t create profiles. Family organizers can allow or prevent children ages 13–18 from creating profiles, and age restrictions vary by region.
If you use an older Windows setup with iTunes, Apple’s iTunes guide points to Music > For You, followed by the account button and profile editing. If the Music menu is unavailable, Apple directs users to the Apple Music app instead; the Windows app steps above are the current route documented in Apple’s guide.

Don’t delete your profile to change its picture
Changing the photo is part of editing your profile; Apple’s instructions do not require deleting it. Deletion is a separate action: Apple says it does not cancel your subscription or affect your music library and playlists, but you will no longer be able to see friends’ listening activity. Apple also says it may take several minutes for a deleted profile to disappear from followers and search, and recreating it within 90 days restores prior information and followers.
