On the Google Assistant Lenovo Smart Clock, change Fahrenheit or Celsius in the Google Home app under Home settings → Google Assistant (or Gemini for Home voice assistant) → Your info → Weather. Changing the forecast location is less straightforward: Lenovo’s official guidance does not document a confirmed location-edit sequence for this model, so changing your Home address is not a guaranteed fix.
Check which Lenovo Smart Clock you have
These steps apply to the original Lenovo Smart Clock (CD-24501F), which has Google Assistant built in and is set up through Google Home. Lenovo also sells a separate Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in (CD-4N342Y); its Alexa instructions do not apply to the Google Assistant model. Change the weather unit to Fahrenheit or Celsius
- Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.
- Select the Google account linked to the Smart Clock.
- Tap Home settings.
- Tap Google Assistant or Gemini for Home voice assistant, depending on the label shown in your app.
- Under Your info, tap Weather.
- Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Google documents this as the weather-unit preference for the voice assistant. Its separate unified temperature setting does not apply to displays on third-party devices, so do not assume a Home-wide temperature control changes the Lenovo display. Can you change the Smart Clock’s weather location?
Lenovo’s official FAQ confirms Google Home setup and account linking for the Google Assistant Smart Clock, but the official guidance reviewed does not establish a dependable, model-specific way to edit the weather location on the clock. First verify that Google Home is using the account and home associated with the clock. That check may help identify an account mismatch, but it is not a confirmed location fix; changing the Home address is not documented as a guaranteed way to change this clock’s forecast.

If you have the Alexa Smart Clock Essential instead
The Alexa model uses a different app and settings path. Lenovo directs owners to Alexa app → More → Settings → Device Settings → [device] → Measurement Units to change temperature or distance units. This path is for the Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in, not the Google Assistant Lenovo Smart Clock.
