If your Galaxy Watch Active2 is paired with a phone, change the phone’s default language—the watch’s menus and screens follow it. You can change the display language directly on the watch only when it is standalone: open Settings > General > Language. If that option is missing or unavailable, check whether the watch is paired.

Samsung says a paired watch takes its display language from the connected phone; you cannot change the display language directly on the paired watch. Change the phone’s default language instead.

Check the watch’s menus and screens; they should follow the phone’s language when paired.
If the watch does not update, repeat the phone-language steps and check again. Samsung’s US troubleshooting guidance suggests a watch reset only as a later step: on the watch, open Settings > General > Reset and confirm. Change the display language on a standalone watch
If the watch is not paired, use its own settings:

Open Settings on the watch.

Tap General > Language.

Select the preferred display language.
Samsung’s smartwatch instructions say the Language option may be unavailable on a paired watch. If you cannot find it or it is greyed out, check the watch’s connection state before looking for another menu route. Display language and input language are different settings
Changing keyboard, voice-typing, or voice-assistant language does not change the language used for the watch’s menus and screens. On Samsung’s Tizen watches, keyboard input options are under Settings > General > Input > Keyboard settings; wording and availability can differ by watch and software. Voice input is selected within Bixby or S Voice and affects text entered by voice, not the display language.

The Galaxy Watch Active2 belongs to Samsung’s Tizen watch family, so do not substitute a Wear OS settings route. If your screens differ, use the connection state to choose the right control: phone language for a paired watch, watch settings for a standalone one.
