To adjust Fortnite Festival’s music and audio settings, select Festival, then open Settings > Game > Festival for microphone and Karaoke options, or run Tune-up to calibrate timing for your setup. Tune-up is available from Game Settings in the lobby or in-game; in Backstage, open the three-bar note menu, choose More options, then Tune-up.
Choose the right setting for the problem

How to run Tune-up for timing and synchronization
Run Tune-up when note timing or the overall audio/video/input feel is not right. Use the guided calibration rather than copying another player’s values: the best settings depend on your device and setup.

- Select a Fortnite Festival mode and enter Backstage.
- Open the three-bar menu with a note icon in the upper-left corner. On PC, press M to open it.
- Select More options, then Tune-up.
- Follow the on-screen calibration instructions.
There is another route: with Festival selected, open Game Settings from the lobby or while in-game and choose Tune-up. Epic’s getting-started guide describes the in-game calibration as covering audio, video, and input.

If the game does not recognize your vocals
- Open Settings > Game.
- Scroll to the Festival section and adjust Mic Sensitivity.
- If the game still does not recognize input, check the microphone’s system-level sensitivity for your device.
Mic Sensitivity changes how the game recognizes vocal input. It is different from Tune-up, which calibrates timing and other aspects of the performance setup. Epic outlines these steps in its microphone troubleshooting guide.

If your vocals feel delayed
In Settings > Game > Festival, adjust Mic Vocals Offset. Epic says Bluetooth devices can benefit from adding 60 ms as a starting point; that is a troubleshooting starting value, not a universal setting. Other wireless arrangements may need less offset, so adjust and test your own setup.
If sustained notes will not hold on PC
Epic says Windows 11 Audio Enhancements could interfere with long sustained Mic Vocals notes. Try disabling Audio Enhancements using Microsoft’s Windows audio troubleshooting instructions, then test again.

How to change Karaoke lyrics and vocal balance
Epic’s v41.10 notes say Fortnite Festival mobile players can enter Backstage and select Karaoke. Epic recommends using headphones and running Tune-up before playing on mobile so audio is calibrated for the setup; headphones are a recommendation, not a stated requirement.

Keep Jam Stage controls separate from audio calibration
Main Stage is Fortnite Festival’s note-performance mode, while Jam Stage is for creating mixes from Jam Track loops. Jam Stage lets players adjust a mix’s tempo, key, and major/minor mode. Epic’s v41.10 notes also describe Snap to Vocals in Change Tempo/Key, which syncs a jam’s tempo, key, and mode to the original vocal track. These controls change the musical mix; they do not replace Tune-up or Mic Vocals settings. See Epic’s Festival overview and v41.10 notes.

- Check the selected mode. Tune-up, Main Stage microphone controls, Jam Stage mix controls, and Karaoke options serve different experiences.
- Check the platform. The v41.10 Karaoke details distinguish mobile play from settings available on other platforms; not every Karaoke control is established as available everywhere.
- Check the current build. Fortnite menu names and options can change with updates, so if a label differs, look in the current Game Settings while Festival is selected.
Epic’s December 9, 2023 launch article said Licensed Audio’s “Mute Others” and “Mute All” options did not apply to Main Stage at that time. That is a dated launch-era statement, not confirmation of current behavior; see Epic’s launch article.
