In Python, Selenium’s driver.save_screenshot("listing.png") saves a PNG of the current browser view. It does not, by itself, promise an image of an entire long, scrollable page. You can also save a screenshot of one element, such as a listing card. Before automating an Indian job site, check that site’s current terms and make sure your intended use is authorized.
Capture the visible job-listing page
This example saves a viewport screenshot and, optionally, a separate screenshot of a page element. Replace the example URL and selector with an authorized target and a selector verified on that page. No selector works universally across job boards.

A page becoming navigable does not necessarily mean its listing results or other dynamically loaded content are ready. Use a condition specific to the page and the content you need rather than relying on an arbitrary assumption that the page is finished. For example, where the target page has a stable results container, wait for that element to appear before capturing. Confirm the selector on the authorized page; job-board markup can change.

Choose the right capture scope and output

The ordinary save_screenshot call should not be described as a full-page capture of the whole scrollable document. If you need one long image, choose and validate a separate approach for the exact browser and driver in use, such as a browser-specific full-page facility or stitched viewport captures. Sticky headers, lazy-loaded results, and changing page content can complicate those approaches; there is no universal full-page result established here.
Check permission before automating a job site
Selenium’s technical ability to render a page does not establish permission to automate access or reuse page content. Review the current terms and policies for the exact site, account type, and purpose. Do not work around login, rate, bot, or other access controls.
- LinkedIn: Its policy says third-party software for scraping or automating LinkedIn is not permitted, and identifies scraping or copying service content and bypassing access controls among prohibited conduct. The policy page was marked as last updated two years before October 4, 2026, so consult the current wording before relying on it: LinkedIn User Agreement.
- Indeed India: Its job-seeker guidance says not to use third-party bots or other automated tools to apply for jobs. That is a restriction on application automation, not a universal legal ruling about every screenshot during ordinary browsing. Its terms say use is governed by the terms in effect: Indeed India terms and guidance.
- Naukri and other boards: Current Naukri terms and whether a particular screenshot use is allowed are not established here. Check the current terms and obtain authorization where needed.

Troubleshooting
- The screenshot is blank or missing results: The content may not have loaded when the capture ran. Wait for a page-specific condition and verify the target content is present before taking the screenshot.
NoSuchElementExceptionfor the element screenshot: The selector may not match the current page, or the element may not yet exist. Inspect the authorized page, confirm the selector, and wait for that element before callingfind_element.- The output is only the visible section: That is the scope of the ordinary viewport screenshot call. Use a separately validated full-page method if one long image is required.
- The page blocks automation or requires access you do not have: Stop rather than attempting to bypass a bot check, login, or other access control. Recheck the site’s terms and seek authorization.
- The output directory is missing: The example creates
screenshotsbefore saving. If adapting the code, ensure the destination directory exists and the process can write to it.
