Capture a Hindi page after its text and fonts are ready
Use a test that visits the page, checks for a representative Hindi string, waits for the browser’s font-readiness promise, and only then captures the image. Replace the route, text, and filename with values from your application:

Choose the capture scope
cy.screenshot() can capture the visible viewport, the full page, the Cypress Runner, or an element. Full-page capture is the documented default; set the option explicitly when the desired output matters, so the test communicates its intent.

For an element capture, select a stable element in your application and apply the readiness checks before taking the screenshot. If the target content is below the fold or appears after interaction, make sure the test brings it into the required state first.

Automated capture with cypress run
Manual screenshots also work in cypress run. Cypress additionally takes screenshots automatically when a test fails during a run by default. A manual screenshot is useful when you need an artifact for a successful test at a specific point; a failure screenshot is diagnostic evidence captured after a failure.
Name and locate the screenshot artifact
Pass a readable name to cy.screenshot() when a stable artifact name is useful, as in cy.screenshot('hindi-page', { capture: 'fullPage' }). Cypress resolves screenshot names relative to the screenshots folder and the spec path. Its documented default screenshots directory is cypress/screenshots.
Screenshot capture is asynchronous. Put assertions and readiness checks before the capture command in the Cypress chain. This helps avoid recording the page before the Hindi content is visible or before used-font loading and layout work have completed.

Keep visual comparisons reproducible
For pixel comparisons, use a fixed viewport and generate and compare screenshots in the same environment. Cypress warns that rendering can differ with the operating system, browser version, display scaling, and installed fonts. These differences can cause comparisons to fail even when the application has not changed.

Cypress describes browser launch as an isolated test environment and documents Chrome-family browsers and Firefox, with WebKit experimental on the documentation page consulted. Browser availability can change with Cypress versions, so check the documentation for the version used by your project before depending on a particular browser.
Troubleshoot missing or inconsistent Hindi text
The screenshot shows a fallback font or unexpected glyphs
Check that the target text is present and visible, then wait for document.fonts.ready before capturing. That promise covers fonts used by the document and related layout operations; it does not prove that every optional declared font loaded or that the selected font covers every character. Review the rendered image in your target environment if glyph appearance matters.

The page is cut off
Choose capture: 'fullPage' for the page from top to bottom, or use capture: 'viewport' when only the visible browser area is wanted. If the content is lazy-loaded, ensure the page has brought that content into the required state before capturing.
The screenshot changes between runs
Align viewport, operating system, browser version, display scaling, and installed fonts between runs. Also place the screenshot after the content and font readiness checks instead of capturing immediately after navigation.
The screenshot is missing or named unexpectedly
Confirm the test reaches the screenshot command and inspect the screenshots folder. Cypress writes artifacts under the configured screenshots location; by default, that is cypress/screenshots, with the name resolved relative to the screenshots folder and spec path.
