Choose the capture that fits the record you need

Prepare the product page before capture
- Open the specific product URL in a desktop browser. Do not bypass a login, bot check, or other access control.
- Select the size, colour, seller, offer, or other variant relevant to your comparison. A listing can differ according to the state of the page you view.
- If price or delivery availability matters, set the delivery location or pincode. Record it with the capture.
- Wait for the page to finish loading. Make sure the price, stock or offer text, and other facts you intend to rely on are visible before taking the image.
- Capture the page using one of the methods below, and keep the original file unchanged.
Take a visible screenshot with your operating system
Use your device’s built-in screenshot tool when the relevant facts fit on screen. Capture the browser area that shows the product details and enough surrounding context to identify them. Operating-system shortcuts and controls differ by device, so use the screenshot control provided by your operating system. If the listing extends beyond the visible area, use a full-page capture instead of stitching together partial images without recording how they were made.

Capture a full page in Chrome
A Chrome Community answer describes using Developer Tools’ command menu to capture a full-size screenshot. This is community guidance, not formal Chrome documentation; Chrome menus and commands may change.

- Open the product page in Chrome and set its variant and delivery location first.
- Open Developer Tools with Ctrl + Shift + I on Windows/Linux, or Cmd + Option + I on Mac.
- Open the command menu with Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows/Linux, or Cmd + Shift + P on Mac.
- Search for Capture full size screenshot and select the command if it is available.
- Check the saved image to confirm it includes the relevant listing details and is readable.

Save a product page as a PDF
- In Chrome, open the product page in its prepared state.
- Choose File > Print, or press Ctrl + P on Windows/Linux or ⌘ + P on Mac.
- In the print dialog, select an available destination or print setting. If Save as PDF is available, save a separate PDF record.
- Open the resulting PDF and check that the details you need were not reflowed, clipped, or omitted.
Chrome’s print help covers the print dialog. A PDF can be useful for a printable or searchable page record, but print rendering may change layout and omit interactive elements.

Preserve the capture and its context
A screenshot documents what appeared in one browser session. On its own, it does not establish that the listing was generally available, accurate, or unchanged at another time. Keep context with the image so another person can understand what it records.

- Record the source URL and capture time in UTC.
- Note the browser and device, selected variant, delivery location or pincode, and offer or stock text relevant to the capture.
- If you need to annotate or crop a copy for a report, retain the untouched original separately and label the working copy.
These are practical preservation steps, not a claim that a marketplace requires a particular evidentiary format.

Check the marketplace terms before reuse or automation
Platform terms differ, and their restrictions should not be collapsed into a blanket claim that every one-time screenshot is unlawful or prohibited. Flipkart’s cited Terms of Use prohibit scraping, robots, and similar or equivalent manual processes used to access, acquire, copy, or monitor content through means not purposely made available. Myntra’s Terms of Use – Myntra International contains substantially similar restrictions. Amazon India’s Terms of Use grants a limited license for personal use and restricts certain commercial or derivative uses and systematic extraction or data-gathering tools without applicable permission.
Those clauses do not decide every question about personal research, evidence preservation, publication, fair dealing, copyright, contract formation, or legal process. Before repeated, automated, commercial, or public reuse, check the current terms for the particular site. For consequential use, seek permission or legal advice. Do not bypass a site’s access controls or technical restrictions.
