To keep a useful record of an Indian product price, capture the product page with the exact variant and its displayed ₹ price visible, then save the image with the capture date. A screenshot records one moment; use a price-history feature or tracker to see whether that price is unusually low.
What a useful price screenshot should show
Open the product page on the India marketplace you intend to track. Before capturing, check that the product and selected variant—such as size, colour, or storage capacity—are the ones you mean to compare. Keep the product name and displayed price together in the image if possible.

If they affect your comparison, include visible seller, delivery, or other page context. Save the capture with a date in its filename or record the date alongside it. These are practical ways to make your own records easier to interpret, not formal requirements for proving a price.
A screenshot is a dated visual record of what the page displayed when you captured it. By itself, it does not establish what the item cost before or after that moment.

Capture a full product page on your device
Android
- Open the product page and select the variant you want to record.
- Take a screenshot using your device’s screenshot controls.
- On Android 12 or later, if the screen supports it, tap Capture more in the screenshot preview and adjust the crop guidelines to include the relevant content. Android says scrolling screenshots work on most screens that allow scrolling; support can vary by device and app. See Android Help’s screenshot instructions.
- If you are using Chrome for Android, another option is Chrome’s Long screenshot flow from the Share menu. Adjust the crop handles and save or share the result. Availability can vary; see Chrome’s instructions for sharing pages on Android.
iPhone
- Open the product webpage in Safari and take a screenshot.
- Tap the screenshot preview, then choose Full Page to capture content beyond the visible screen. Apple documents this option for webpages in Safari; see Apple’s iPhone screenshot guide.
- Review the page capture and save it with the product and date identifiable in your own file naming or notes.
Check the image before relying on it
- Confirm the variant and price are readable in the saved image.
- Check that a long capture has not cropped out the price or mixed in details from other variants.
- Keep the date with the image. A device screenshot may show a timestamp in its file details, but recording it in the filename or notes makes the context easier to find.
Pair the screenshot with price history
Use a history chart or tracking feature when your question is whether today’s price is a deal. These tools provide time context that a single screenshot cannot. Coverage, available history, and setup differ, so choose based on the marketplace and product you are checking rather than assuming one source is complete for every listing.
Amazon India: price history on eligible products
On eligible Amazon product pages, look for the price-history link beside the price, or ask Alexa for Shopping about the item’s price history. Amazon describes 30-, 90-, and 365-day views. In its update dated June 24, 2026, Amazon said 365-day insights were rolling out to customers in India, so availability may vary. See Amazon’s explanation of its price-history feature.

Amazon also reported that more than 50 million customers had used the feature and that the average customer checked price history three times a month. Those are figures reported by Amazon, not independently audited usage statistics.
Chrome Shopping Insights and price tracking
Google describes Chrome Shopping Insights as a way to view product price history and range, and offers Save and track price. Google’s stated requirements include living in India, being signed in to Chrome, syncing tabs and history, and enabling Make searches and browsing better. Keepa for Amazon marketplace tracking
Keepa’s Chrome Web Store listing describes product-page charts and price-drop alerts and lists Amazon.in as supported. Its Google Play listing also names India among its supported Amazon locales. These are Keepa and store listing claims; they do not independently establish chart completeness for any particular product listing.

Troubleshooting capture and comparison problems
The capture does not include the whole page
Use the device’s scrolling or full-page option if the page and app support it. On Android, try Capture more or Chrome’s Long screenshot; on iPhone, use Safari’s Full Page option. If the control is absent, support may not be available for that screen or app; capture the relevant visible sections separately.
The saved image shows the wrong price
Return to the page, select the intended variant, and confirm the displayed price before taking a new capture. Product pages can show different prices for different variants, so do not compare a screenshot of one selection with history for another.

The price-history feature is missing
Amazon’s history is described for eligible product pages, and its 365-day India rollout may not have reached every customer. Chrome Shopping Insights has specific country, sign-in, sync, and browsing-personalization requirements. Check those conditions and try another applicable history source if the feature remains unavailable.
A tracker’s chart or alert does not match your screenshot
First check that the tracker and screenshot refer to the same listing and variant. A tracker’s marketplace coverage or chart for a specific product is not established by a general listing claim. Retain the dated image as a record of what you saw, and treat the chart as a separate source of historical context.
