To record a Pepperfry product’s displayed price, open its exact listing, confirm the product and selected variant, and capture the page with a browser or operating-system screenshot. Save the image with its URL and capture time. For recurring checks, use a scheduled browser-automation workflow; a screenshot records a page at one moment, but does not by itself build a price history.
Capture a Pepperfry product page manually
- Open the exact product listing in your browser. Check that the product name, selected variant (if there is one), displayed price and discount, and any visible delivery-location context are correct.
- Capture the visible page with your browser’s screenshot feature or your operating system’s screenshot shortcut. Save the image in a format that suits your records, such as PNG or JPEG.
- Name the file so it can be matched to the product and capture time, for example
pepperfry-product-name-2026-10-03-1430.png. Record the full product URL and time in the filename or an accompanying note. - If relevant price details or product context sit below the fold, take additional screenshots as you scroll, or capture the full page. A full-page image can be long; a viewport image may be clearer when the product identity and price are visible together.
For a useful comparison later, retain the selected variant and delivery-location context too, especially if either is not visible in the image. Pepperfry’s E-Commerce Services Agreement describes sale prices as dynamic and volatile and says merchants may revise them before purchase. Treat your screenshot as evidence of what appeared at the recorded time, not a guarantee of a later price.

Automate repeatable screenshots with Playwright
For a small recurring set of product URLs, Playwright can open each page and save either a full-page screenshot or a screenshot of a specific element. Its documentation covers page screenshots and the fullPage option, as well as the Page API.
After installing Playwright for Node.js with npm install playwright and installing its browser with npx playwright install chromium, save this as capture.mjs. Replace the example URL with a Pepperfry product URL you are permitted to access:

import { chromium } from 'playwright';
const url = 'https://www.pepperfry.com/';
const capturedAt = new Date().toISOString().replaceAll(':', '-');
const browser = await chromium.launch({ headless: true });
try {
const page = await browser.newPage({ viewport: { width: 1440, height: 1000 } });
await page.goto(url, { waitUntil: 'domcontentloaded', timeout: 60000 });
await page.screenshot({ path: `pepperfry-${capturedAt}.png`, fullPage: true });
console.log(`Saved screenshot for ${page.url()} at ${capturedAt}`);
} finally {
await browser.close();
}
Run it with node capture.mjs. For a shorter image, change fullPage: true to fullPage: false. To capture just a product or price element, use a locator’s screenshot() method after identifying an appropriate selector; confirm that the resulting image still preserves enough product and variant context to make the record understandable. Selectors and page behavior can change, so check each capture rather than assuming every run succeeded.
Choose the right capture method for the job
| Approach | Best suited to | What it records | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manual browser or OS screenshot | A few occasional checks | A visual page state, saved by the user | Requires repeating the steps and recording time and URL yourself |
| Playwright browser automation | Repeatable captures of a set of URLs | Page, full-page, or selected-element images | Requires setup and upkeep as page behavior or selectors change; you must arrange scheduling and record context |
| Commercial monitoring service | Recurring or larger-scale collection where structured price fields may matter | Depends on the provider’s current service | Check current coverage, pricing, geographic behavior, and applicable terms before relying on it |
Bright Data currently markets Pepperfry price tracking and a Pepperfry scraper, describing collection of details such as prices, discounts, dimensions, ratings, and delivery estimates. Those are vendor descriptions, not independent accuracy tests. Verify the service’s current capabilities and suitability for your locations and workflow before adopting it. The available information does not establish that automated collection is permitted for every access pattern; check applicable site terms before repeated automated requests.

ScreenshotNeo can return a website screenshot in one GET request. Its clean-shot steps accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. It also provides an MCP server with screenshot tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.

Quick Recap
Troubleshooting and record-keeping
- The screenshot shows the wrong price or variant: Confirm the product page and selected options before capture. If a variant or delivery location changes what is displayed, note the chosen values with the image.
- The price is missing from a full-page capture: Check whether the page finished rendering and whether the price requires a selection or interaction. Capture the visible viewport after checking the listing, or use an automation wait suited to the element you need.
- The screenshot is too long to compare: Use a viewport capture or take a small set of scroll-position captures that keep the product identity and relevant price context clear.
- A Playwright run fails or saves an incomplete image: Check that Chromium is installed, the URL is correct, and the page loaded before the timeout. Review the saved image; a completed script is not proof that the intended content appeared.
- Two captures appear to show different prices: Compare their capture times, URLs, variants, and location context. Pepperfry’s agreement characterizes sale prices as subject to change, so do not treat either image as a lasting quote.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
