Choose what part of the page to capture
FireShot provides three capture extents in its usage guide:

- Visible area: captures the part currently shown in the browser window.
- Selected area: lets you define a region to capture.
- Entire webpage: captures content below the visible viewport, including parts you would otherwise need to scroll to see.
For a quick snippet, use visible-area or selected-area capture. Choose entire-page capture when you need the page from top to bottom.

- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Launch FireShot. The vendor guide lists the red “S” toolbar button, the browser’s main menu, and the page’s context menu as entry points. The toolbar button’s default action is “Capture entire webpage and Edit.”
- Select the capture extent—visible area, selected area, or entire webpage. If the toolbar button launches an entire-page capture but you only want a portion, choose the appropriate mode from FireShot’s available menu instead.
- Choose the clipboard action from the available FireShot actions or editor flow after the capture.
- Paste into the destination app using its Paste command or keyboard shortcut.
The precise clipboard control’s label and location are not established as identical across every browser and FireShot version. If you do not see it immediately, inspect the post-capture actions or editor rather than assuming a single universal sequence.

If you need a file instead of clipboard contents
FireShot lists saving captures in PDF, PNG, GIF, JPEG, or BMP, along with printing, email, and external export. Its product page also describes editing actions such as crop, resize, highlighting, blur, and annotations; availability can depend on the installed edition. See FireShot’s product features and check the options in your edition before relying on a particular export or editing action.
Common problems and fixes
- The screenshot only contains what is on screen: use entire-page capture rather than visible-area capture if you need content below the fold.
- You cannot find the clipboard action: open the post-capture action list or editor. FireShot documents clipboard copying, but its instructions do not establish one universal current button sequence for every browser and version.
- The result differs on a dynamic or restricted page: capture fidelity is not guaranteed for every page. Try capturing again after the page has finished loading, or use a file output if the destination app does not accept the clipboard image.
- You are looking for FireShot’s API: that is a separate integration path, not a requirement for toolbar captures. FireShot says API use must be enabled in its options and has browser and minimum-version prerequisites; see its API documentation if you are building an integration.
