To capture just part of a web page in Nimbus Screenshot, choose Selected Area, drag a rectangle around the visible region with the left mouse button, then press the checkmark. Nimbus opens the capture in its editor; if you do not need to make edits, finish with Done.

Open the Nimbus Screenshot extension and choose Selected Area.

Press the checkmark to confirm the selection.

In the editor, make any changes you need. If you do not need to edit the image, use Done to finish.

Nimbus’s help guide describes this as the way to take a screenshot of an area of the screen. The available labels can differ in older or differently branded interfaces, so choose the mode named Selected Area in your installed extension.
Choose the right capture mode
Nimbus lists several modes with different capture scopes:

- Selected Area: Draw a rectangle around a region you choose on the visible screen.
- Capture Fragment: Select a page fragment, such as an article; this is distinct from drawing a rectangle.
- Visible part of page: Capture the content currently visible on screen.
- Entire Page: Capture the whole web page.
Reuse the same crop for repeat captures
If you regularly capture from the same position and dimensions, enable Save crop position in Nimbus’s settings. The setting is documented for both Selected Area and Selected and Scroll, and allows the next selection to reuse the saved size and location. Nimbus also documents an optional quick screenshot setting for a configured mode.

Nimbus’s Edge help page says current Chrome and Firefox versions prevent apps from copying pictures directly to the clipboard. Its suggested workaround is to right-click the displayed screenshot and choose Copy image. Clipboard behavior can depend on browser version and permissions, so the context-menu option may be more reliable than the extension’s direct copy action.
