Sign in to the GST Portal, open the page you need, then use your computer’s built-in screenshot shortcut: press Windows+Shift+S on Windows 10 or 11, or Shift-Command-4 on a Mac to select an area. Review the image for personal or financial details before saving or sharing it.
Sign in and open the page you need
Go to the GST Portal and choose Login. Enter the requested account information and captcha, then submit. If the portal asks for an OTP, complete that step. The GST user manual notes that an OTP may not be requested on every login from a previously authenticated trusted browser or device; the flow can vary. - Bring the relevant GST Portal page into view and arrange it so the necessary content is visible.
- Press Windows logo key+Shift+S to open the Snipping Tool capture overlay.
- Select the area you need, such as a rectangle around the relevant page content.
- Open the resulting snip, check that it shows the intended details, and save it.

Capture the page on a Mac
- Bring the GST Portal page into view.
- Press Shift-Command-4, then drag across the area to capture.
- For the entire screen, press Shift-Command-3 instead.
- Check the saved image. By default, macOS saves screenshots to the desktop.

Choose what the screenshot needs to show
- Use a selected-area capture when you only need to show a particular status, field, or message. This can leave unrelated account details out of the image.
- Use a window or full-screen capture when the surrounding page or screen context matters to the person who will review it.
- Inspect before sharing. An authenticated tax portal may display identifying or financial information. Keep only what is needed for the purpose and redact other sensitive details before sending or posting the image.
A screenshot is an image of what appeared on screen; it is not, by itself, an official GST filing, certificate, or proof of submission. If you need a formal document, look for the relevant download or print option on the specific portal page. The available steps depend on the document.
