Set Puppeteer’s timezone before navigation
Asia/Kolkata is the timezone identifier to use for IST. Call Puppeteer’s Page.emulateTimezone() before page.goto() so scripts that run during page startup can observe the emulated timezone.

Choose when the screenshot is ready
The example waits for networkidle2 before capturing. That can suit pages whose content settles after network activity, but it is not a guarantee that every application has finished rendering. If the page reveals content after a user interaction, a timer, or a particular application event, wait for the relevant selector or condition before calling screenshot().

Choose the screenshot area and output
fullPage: truecaptures the full page rather than only the current viewport. Omit it for a viewport screenshot.- Use
clipwhen you need a specific rectangular region. path: 'page.png'writes the screenshot to that file. PNG is the documented default image type.- Set the screenshot type when you need a supported alternative format; the options reference also documents quality for supported formats.

Understand what timezone emulation changes
emulateTimezone() changes the browser page’s timezone behavior. It does not set the website’s server clock or establish that the browser is physically located in India. A date generated on the server and embedded in the HTML may therefore remain unchanged, even when the browser uses IST.
If page code calculates a date before timezone emulation, changing the timezone afterward does not rerun that code. Set the timezone before navigation whenever startup scripts need to calculate or display local dates. Puppeteer’s Page API also documents evaluateOnNewDocument() for running a script when a subsequent navigation creates a document; it is separate from timezone emulation.

Troubleshoot a screenshot that does not show IST
- The visible date did not change: Check whether the text was generated server-side, stored in application state, or calculated before emulation. Browser timezone emulation cannot retroactively alter server-rendered text.
- The page calculated its date during startup: Move
await page.emulateTimezone('Asia/Kolkata')beforepage.goto(). - The content is missing from the image: Wait for the page’s relevant content or selector before capturing. A navigation wait condition alone may not cover application-specific rendering.
- The capture is larger or smaller than expected: Check whether you set
fullPageorclip; these control capture scope. - The method or option is unavailable: Confirm the installed Puppeteer version and its matching API reference.
