To capture a lazy-loaded news feed in one image, first scroll through the live page in steps and wait for each batch of stories and images to appear. Then use Chrome DevTools’ Capture a full size screenshot command or Playwright’s page.screenshot({ fullPage: true }). A full-page setting captures the scrollable page; it does not necessarily trigger content that loads only when you scroll.
Why scrolling must happen before the screenshot
News feeds often load additional story cards or images as they approach the visible area. A screenshot command can capture the page’s full scrollable extent without first making the page behave as though a reader scrolled through it. That can leave cards or image areas missing from the saved file.

- Open the news feed and wait for the first stories to finish loading.
- Scroll down by part of the visible page. Pause and check whether new cards or images have appeared.
- Continue scrolling and waiting until the feed reaches its end or a clear stopping point. For an endless feed, choose a cutoff first, such as a date range or a number of stories.
- Open Chrome DevTools Device Mode’s screenshot menu and select Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome documents this command for capturing the page beyond the visible viewport (Chrome DevTools Device Mode).
- Open the downloaded image and inspect it from top to bottom. If cards or image areas are missing, return to the page, scroll farther or wait for content, then capture again.
The full-size screenshot command and the interaction that loads a feed are separate steps. The first captures the page; scrolling gives scroll-triggered content an opportunity to load.

Capture it with Playwright
For a feed that loads stories during scrolling, scroll through the page and wait for new content before calling the screenshot method. The following example is the basic capture call once the intended feed content is ready:

The correct selector and wait condition depend on the site, so there is no universal selector or fixed delay that guarantees every feed has finished loading. Playwright documents two screenshot scale choices: CSS scale produces one output pixel per CSS pixel, while device scale follows device pixels and can produce a larger image on high-density displays. Scale affects output dimensions, not whether content has loaded (Playwright screenshot parameters).

Common problems and fixes
- Stories are missing: Scroll the live page before capturing to give scroll-triggered loading a chance to run. Inspect the saved image and repeat if needed.
- Images are blank: Wait for images after the story entries appear, then check the capture. The cited documentation does not establish a universal wait time.
- The page keeps growing: Treat an infinite feed as an unbounded stream. Decide what range or number of items the one-image capture should include.
- The page changes during capture: New items or changing headlines can shift the layout. Capture after the intended content settles, or use sequential images if one tall image is difficult to inspect.
- The file is too large: In Playwright, consider CSS scale instead of device scale if one output pixel per CSS pixel is acceptable.
