You can use Browshot to capture the page as an image; the documented instructions do not establish how to produce a PDF from that capture. Keep those two steps distinct rather than treating size=page as a PDF option.
What Browshot’s full-page option does
Browshot’s simple API uses size=page for a full-page screenshot. The default, size=screen, captures the visible screen instead. The API documentation describes screenshot or thumbnail output in PNG and says full-page screenshots can be up to 15,000 pixels tall; that is a stated ceiling, not a promise that every page or capture will reach that height. The Browshot documentation reviewed does not identify a PDF-export parameter or document a supported image-to-PDF procedure. Therefore, it supports capturing a full-page image, but not a complete, documented Browshot-to-PDF workflow. API documentation · Command-line guide

Use Browshot’s simple API with size=page. The API response can redirect to the resulting image, so a command-line request should follow redirects as shown in Browshot’s CLI guide. Replace the example API key with your own and use the URL-encoding mechanism supported by your HTTP client for the target URL.

Choose capture settings for the page
Full page or visible screen
size=pagerequests the full-page screenshot.size=screencaptures the visible viewport and is the documented default.
Viewport dimensions
Set the desktop viewport width and height to control the browser dimensions used for the capture. A page’s responsive layout can change with viewport width, so choose dimensions that match the view you need to preserve. Browshot’s documentation lists viewport configuration, but the PDF outcome is not documented. API documentation

Wait for scripts and content
The API documents delay as time after page load for JavaScript to run; its default is five seconds. It also documents max_wait as an optional maximum wait before triggering the PageLoad event. These settings may affect whether dynamically rendered content appears in the image. They do not guarantee that every page’s asynchronous content has finished loading. API documentation

Some pages load images or other content only when the visitor scrolls near them. Browshot’s script guide demonstrates scrolling to the bottom before taking a full-page screenshot. The guide says the script must finish within the request’s configured delay and uses a ten-second delay in its example. Consider this option when a normal full-page capture omits content that appears only after scrolling. Browshot script guide

Cache, popups, and browser choice
Browshot documents options for cache reuse versus requesting a new capture, hiding popups, and choosing a browser. These are capture choices, not PDF-generation settings. If a result looks stale, review whether the request reused cached output; if an overlay obscures the page, use the documented popup-hiding option where appropriate. API documentation
What the response tells you—and what it does not
Browshot’s documented simple-API success response is a screenshot or thumbnail in PNG. The API documentation lists HTTP 200 for success, 302 when a capture is in progress, and 400 or 404 for an invalid request or capture failure. Follow redirects when retrieving the image, and check the response before assuming the output file contains a completed screenshot. API documentation · CLI guide

A successful PNG capture is not itself a PDF. Because the reviewed Browshot material does not specify a PDF setting or supported conversion process, it does not establish the remaining step required to create a PDF. Do not add size=page expecting a PDF file.
Troubleshoot common capture problems
- The output is only the visible portion: confirm the request uses
size=page, not the defaultsize=screen. - The saved file is not the image: the response may redirect or indicate an in-progress capture. Follow redirects and check the HTTP status; Browshot documents 302 for a capture in progress.
- The request returns 400 or 404: Browshot documents these statuses for an invalid request or capture failure. Check the request parameters and target URL, then consult the API response and current documentation for the specific cause.
- Content rendered by JavaScript is missing: review the
delayand optionalmax_waitbehavior. For content triggered by scrolling, consider the documented script approach and ensure it completes within the configured delay. - Images loaded near the bottom are absent: lazy loading may require scrolling before capture. Browshot’s script guide shows a scroll-to-bottom approach, but does not make it a universal guarantee for every site.
- You need a PDF rather than an image: the reviewed Browshot documentation does not establish direct PDF export or a supported conversion procedure. The capture instructions alone do not resolve that step.

ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie and consent banners like a visitor and removes 60+ known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status. It also has an MCP server for AI agents, with tools for screenshots, page information, and PDF capture. The free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
