What’s actually slowing this PC down?

For a long page with a finite height, ScreenshotMachine documents a full-page capture using dimension=1366xfull. A genuinely infinite feed is different: the public API guide does not document automatic scrolling or repeated loading of feed entries, so a single full-height request is not a guaranteed way to capture everything the feed could eventually show.
Decide which entries or stopping point you need, then capture the content available at that point. If you need a managed screenshot workflow with explicit page-cleanup options, ScreenshotNeo is an alternative to try; it removes known consent banners, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture, and only clean shots are billed.
What ScreenshotMachine’s full-page setting does—and does not—promise
ScreenshotMachine’s API guide accepts full as the height in the dimension setting. For example, dimension=1366xfull requests a screenshot 1366 pixels wide and as tall as the page. The guide also gives 1024xfull as a full-length example.

A finite document has a page height the browser can capture. An infinite feed may instead load entries only in response to scroll events and has no natural final height. The ScreenshotMachine guide does not explain whether its capture engine triggers those events or repeatedly loads entries. Do not rely on one xfull request to include everything a visitor could eventually scroll through.
Choose a stopping point before you request the screenshot
“Everything” is not a stable endpoint for a feed that keeps growing. Decide what you need the image to show—for example, the entries currently loaded, a particular post, or a defined number of entries. If the feed has not loaded the required content when the capture is made, a longer rendering delay alone is not documented as a way to load it.

Configure a full-height ScreenshotMachine capture
- Provide the required inputs. An API request requires a customer key and the target page URL.
- Set the dimensions. Use
dimension=1366xfullfor a 1366-pixel-wide, full-height request, or choose another width. The guide documents widths from 100 to 1920 pixels; numeric heights range from 100 to 9999. - Choose a device profile. Set
devicetodesktop, phone, ortabletto choose the rendering profile. The guide’s examples include desktop at 1024×768, phone at 480×800, and tablet at 800×1280. - Choose an image format. The documented formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF. JPG is the default. Pick a format appropriate to how you will use the result.
- Allow time for rendering when needed.
delaydefaults to 200 ms. The documented values run in 200 ms increments from 0 through 10000 ms. For some long pages with images or animations, the guide recommends considering 2000 ms or more. This gives rendering more time; it is not a documented infinite-scroll mechanism. - Set cache behavior deliberately.
cacheLimitaccepts values from 0 to 14 days, including fractional values for shorter intervals. Set it to0when you need a fresh capture rather than an eligible cached image. - Retrieve and save the response. The vendor’s Python example shows generating the API URL and downloading the image to
output.png. Use the response as an image file in the format requested.
Other documented controls
These settings can adjust the page or capture target, but none establishes that ScreenshotMachine will traverse an infinite feed:
clickcan trigger a CSS-selected element before capture.hidecan hide selected elements.cookies,accept-language, anduser-agentcan supply request context.selectorcaptures a single DOM element rather than the full page.cropcontrols cropping, whilezoomaccepts 10–400 percent; 100 percent is the default.
For a finite page, choose width and device profile based on the intended rendering, then set format, delay, and cache behavior to match your needs. For an infinite feed, the key question is whether the content you need is loaded at capture time; the documented controls do not provide a guaranteed traversal method.

ScreenshotNeo takes a screenshot with one GET request. Its cleanup steps accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server offers take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. Free includes 1,000 shots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
Example cURL request (replace the example target URL with the page you want to capture):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
