On a desktop, use your browser’s built-in full-page screenshot feature: Firefox offers one in Developer Tools, and Microsoft describes a “Capture full page” option in Edge’s screenshot tool. These capture content below the visible screen as well as what is currently on screen. The exact steps can vary by browser version, and no single method is confirmed for every Indian university portal. Check the saved image carefully, and keep marks and identifying details private.
Capture the whole page in Firefox
- Open the university results page and wait for the result and any rows to finish loading.
- Open Developer Tools settings and find “Available Toolbox Buttons.”
- Enable “Take a screenshot of the entire page.”
- Click the screenshot button. Firefox saves the image in the browser’s Downloads directory.
- Open the downloaded image and inspect the top, middle, and bottom to make sure the relevant content is present and readable.
Firefox also documents a Web Console helper: :screenshot --fullpage. The --fullpage option includes webpage areas beyond the current window bounds. The helper supports optional parameters including a delay, device-pixel ratio, filename, and selector. If you save successive captures with the same filename, the new file may overwrite the earlier one.

Capture the whole page in Microsoft Edge
- Open the results page in Edge and wait for its content to load.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S.
- Select “Capture full page,” then save the capture.
- Open the saved file and check that the relevant content is included and legible.
Microsoft’s Edge feature page describes this shortcut and option. If the shortcut or wording differs in your installed version, open Edge’s Screenshot or Web Capture feature and look for a full-page option; labels may change between versions.

Check that the result is complete and readable
A successful capture does not necessarily mean every result appeared in the image. University portals can use layouts where a results table has its own scrolling area, or where rows load as you scroll. These are possibilities to check, not verified behaviors for any particular university site.
- Before capturing, scroll through the page and confirm that the results have appeared.
- After capturing, inspect the top, middle, and bottom, including all relevant rows and totals.
- Check text at normal viewing size. If it is too small to read, capture the results table or separate sections individually.
- If content is missing, use the portal’s own view or print option if available, or save section captures. No particular university’s downloadable marksheet feature is established here.

Protect marks and identifying details
A results page may show a name, roll or registration number, marks, or other identifying details. Keep the original capture somewhere private. Before sharing it with a teacher, support team, or public forum, crop or cover identifiers that are not needed, then reopen the exported copy to confirm the redaction is opaque. Keep an unedited copy private if you need it for your own records.

When a browser extension is the only option
If your browser does not provide full-page capture, an extension may be an option, but check its current permissions, developer, data practices, and whether it works on the specific results portal before installing it. Marketplace claims about privacy or redaction are claims by the extension or listing, not independent verification. For a results page containing personal information, prefer a capture method whose handling of the page you understand.
