How to Capture a Full-Page Screenshot of a Telugu Webpage in Chrome on Linux

In Chrome on Linux, open the Telugu webpage, open DevTools, press Ctrl+Shift+P, type screenshot, then choose Capture full size screenshot. Chrome saves an image of the whole page, including content below the visible area. Open the downloaded file and check that the page and Telugu text rendered as expected.

Capture the whole page in Chrome

  1. Open the Telugu webpage in Chrome and wait for the content you need to load. If the page loads content as you scroll, scroll through the relevant sections first; this can help load them, but does not guarantee that every lazy-loaded or virtualized page will be included.
  2. Open Chrome DevTools. Press F12, or open Chrome’s menu and choose the developer tools option.
  3. Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the DevTools Command Menu. Chrome documents this shortcut for Windows and Linux.
  4. Type screenshot in the menu.
  5. Choose Capture full size screenshot. Do not choose Capture screenshot if you need content below the fold: that command captures only the visible viewport.
  6. Locate the downloaded image and inspect its page length, text, images, and sections.

Chrome’s DevTools documentation describes the full-page command as capturing “the whole page including the content that isn’t currently visible in the viewport.” Google Chrome DevTools: Device mode screenshot instructions.

Check Telugu text and page completeness

The capture command is language-neutral: it captures page pixels, but it does not ensure that a Linux installation has the fonts or page resources needed to render Telugu correctly. Check the saved PNG rather than assuming the script is intact. If Telugu characters appear as empty boxes or look incorrect, investigate the page’s font or rendering in Chrome before capturing again.

Also compare the image with the page in Chrome. Some pages load content only as you scroll, and pages that virtualize long lists may not keep every item in the document at once. Scrolling beforehand may load more content, but the DevTools command is not a guarantee that these page behaviors will be captured completely.

Philips 24 Inch Computer Monitor FHD 100Hz VA VESA Flicker-Free, 241V8LB | 1920×1080 LED Monitor, 4ms GtG, Adaptive Sync, HDMI 1.4, Tilt Adjust, Low Blue Light, 4yr Advance Replacement Warranty
  • CRISP CLARITY: This 23.8″ Philips V line monitor delivers crisp Full HD 1920x1080 visuals. Enjoy movies, shows and videos with remarkable detail
  • INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
  • THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
  • WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
  • A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents

Choose the right capture method

  • Chrome DevTools: Best for a one-off full-page image without installing an extension. Use Capture full size screenshot, not the viewport-only command.
  • Browser extension: An optional extension can provide a one-click workflow. The GoFullPage Chrome Web Store listing advertises full-page capture; its description and version history may change. It is not required for the built-in Chrome method.
  • Automation: Useful when captures need to be repeated or scripted. Chrome’s DevTools Protocol includes Page.captureScreenshot; its captureBeyondViewport parameter defaults to false, so automation must configure capture beyond the viewport rather than assume the default produces a full-page image. See the Chrome DevTools Protocol Page domain.

For command-line use, Chrome’s Headless Chrome documentation shows the --screenshot flag writing screenshot.png to the current working directory, and notes that full-page screenshots require additional handling beyond the basic flag. The DevTools menu is the clearer choice for a manual one-off capture.

Troubleshooting

  • The image shows only the visible screen: You likely chose Capture screenshot. Reopen the Command Menu and select Capture full size screenshot.
  • The Command Menu does not open: First open DevTools, then press Ctrl+Shift+P. Alternatively, open DevTools with F12 or Chrome’s menu.
  • Some sections or images are missing: Wait for the page to finish loading and scroll through relevant content before capturing. Lazy-loaded or virtualized pages can still behave in ways that prevent a complete capture.
  • Telugu text appears as boxes or is incorrect: The screenshot records what Chrome rendered; it does not fix font or page-rendering problems. Check the page’s rendering in Chrome and inspect a new saved image after addressing the underlying issue.
  • You cannot find the file: Check Chrome’s downloads and the browser’s configured download location.
