If the subscription is not listed, check the account used for the purchase before contacting the service’s actual billing provider.
Find the store that bills you
A subscription being used on a Samsung phone does not necessarily mean Samsung or Google bills it. First check the purchase receipt or the merchant name on your payment statement. If it identifies Google Play, use the Google Play steps below. If it identifies Galaxy Store, use Samsung’s store. For a subscription billed directly by an app publisher, carrier, or another intermediary, cancel with that provider; there is no single universal cancellation path for those arrangements.

Cancel a Google Play subscription
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Samsung phone. Check the profile icon to confirm you are using the Google account that made the purchase.
- Open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Menu labels may vary with the app version.
- Select the subscription you want to stop and tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the confirmation prompts. Save the confirmation and check the subscription page for the renewal and access-end dates.
Uninstalling the app does not stop its subscription. Google’s instruction is explicit: “When you uninstall the app, your subscription won’t be cancelled.” Cancel it through Google Play instead. Google Play: Cancel, pause, or change a subscription.
Cancel a Galaxy Store subscription
- Open Galaxy Store and sign in to the Samsung account associated with the subscription.
- Tap Menu, then Subscriptions.
- Select the app or service, then tap Cancel subscription. Some regional Samsung instructions use Unsubscribe for this action.
- Confirm the cancellation and check the service-period end date.
Samsung says you can continue using the service until the current service period ends. The Galaxy Store menu path is documented in Samsung’s cancellation instructions; regional pages and interface labels may differ. Phone billing availability also depends on territory and seller. What cancellation does to access and future charges
Ordinary subscriptions
Canceling generally prevents the next renewal, rather than ending access immediately. Google says access ordinarily continues through the time already paid for; Samsung likewise describes access through the service period. Check the date shown by the relevant store. Cancellation does not, by itself, mean a refund has been issued.
Google Play payment plans
Stopping a payment plan from renewing does not necessarily erase the remaining installments in the current plan. Google says users remain responsible for payments still due under that plan. Review the plan details before treating cancellation as the end of all payment obligations. Google Play billing guidance.

Pausing or changing a plan
Some Google Play subscriptions offer pause or plan-change options, but availability depends on the subscription and developer. Google says a pause takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prepaid plans are for a limited term and generally expire automatically. If the subscription is missing or you are still charged
- It is missing from Google Play: Switch through the Google accounts on your phone and check Subscriptions under each account that may have made the purchase. Google notes that a missing subscription may belong to another account. Google Play cancellation guidance.
- It is missing from both stores: Check the original receipt and payment statement to identify the merchant. If the charge is from an app publisher, carrier, or other intermediary, contact that provider to find its cancellation process.
- A charge appears after cancellation: Compare its merchant name and date with your cancellation confirmation and the paid service period’s end date. A charge alone does not establish that cancellation failed; a Google Play payment plan may also have remaining installments due.
- The Galaxy Store screens look different: Samsung’s support instructions are regional, and labels or layouts can vary. Use the current Galaxy Store screen and Samsung instructions for your market. Samsung’s Galaxy Store cancellation instructions.
