Cancel a scheduled livestream in the YouTube mobile app
- Open YouTube on your phone or tablet and tap Create, then Live.
- Tap Calendar and select the upcoming livestream you want to cancel.
- Tap the delete button to remove the scheduled event. YouTube Help documents this action for scheduled streams in the mobile app.
This removes an upcoming scheduled item; it is not the same as deleting a replay of a livestream that has already ended. YouTube describes archive deletion separately.

Find a scheduled stream on desktop
In YouTube Studio, open Content > Live to see current, upcoming, and past streams. Live Control Room also provides scheduled-stream management. Open the upcoming stream and use the management controls shown in your current interface. The available YouTube Help guidance identifies these desktop management areas but does not document a complete desktop deletion-button sequence, so the explicit delete instructions are for mobile.
If you cannot delete the scheduled event
The available controls depend on your channel role. YouTube’s permissions guidance says Managers can manage live streams; Editors can manage streams but cannot delete scheduled, live, or completed streams; and Viewers cannot manage or delete streams. If the delete control is unavailable, ask a channel owner or Manager with the necessary permissions to handle the event.

If you still cannot schedule a livestream
Cancellation and livestream eligibility are separate. YouTube says a channel needs to be verified and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to livestream. Check channel verification and whether a restriction is active; deleting a scheduled event does not lift a restriction or alter channel permissions.

What viewers may see after cancellation
Scheduled streams can appear as upcoming events, and viewers may opt into reminders. The cited YouTube guidance does not specify exactly what notification viewers receive when an event is deleted, so do not assume cancellation sends a particular alert.
