If you cannot, recover that account, try the previous screen lock if the setup screen offers it, or contact an authorized Samsung service center with proof of purchase. FRP is an anti-theft check, so another reset will not remove it.
What the FRP screen means
Factory Reset Protection (FRP), which Samsung also calls Google Device Protection, is an ownership check. A reset performed through the Recovery menu can require the Google account and password previously used on the phone before setup can continue. Samsung explains this behavior in its Google Device Protection support guidance and Canadian support guidance.

The verification is intended to prevent someone from using a device after an unauthorized reset. It is not a separate lock that another factory reset clears; focus on proving ownership through the setup options or Samsung support.

- Enter the Google account used on the device before it was reset. Follow the on-screen prompts and use that account’s current password.
- If you have several Google accounts, check which one was on the phone. Samsung US suggests checking Google’s device-management service for the device listed under the relevant account. Use the account associated with that phone, rather than trying unrelated accounts.

Recover a forgotten password and allow time for a change to take effect
If you know the account email address but not its password, use Google’s official account recovery. Once you have recovered the account, return to the phone and try signing in with the updated credentials.
Samsung US says a newly changed Google password may take up to 24 hours before it can unlock the device. That is Samsung’s guidance, not a guaranteed waiting period for every account or phone. If verification still fails after the wait, continue to the other supported recovery route or contact Samsung.

Use the previous screen lock only if setup offers it
Some devices may let you verify ownership with the PIN, pattern, or password that was set on the phone before the reset. Samsung Philippines says this option may be available on Android 9 and later, but it is not universal; availability depends on the device and software. Choose it only if it appears in the setup flow, and enter the screen lock that was previously configured. See Samsung Philippines’ reset and verification guidance.

If you cannot recover the linked Google account or the available verification options do not work, contact Samsung or visit an authorized Samsung service center. Bring the phone and proof of purchase. Samsung support pages direct owners to service for unresolved verification, but regional processes and document requirements vary; check with your local center before visiting. Samsung does not establish a universal service price or turnaround time in the cited guidance.

- Back up important information. A factory reset erases personal data stored on the device.
- Remove the Google account from the phone. Do this before the reset if your goal is to avoid the Google ownership check.
- Reset from Settings. Use the phone’s normal Settings reset flow instead of the Recovery menu. Samsung describes the distinction in its Galaxy device-protection guidance and US support page.
