The safe sequence is: prepare a Polygon wallet, copy its receive address for the exact token, choose the same asset and Polygon network in Coinme, inspect the fee preview, and confirm only after every detail matches.
Coinme warns that a transfer sent over the wrong network can be lost permanently. Public Coinme materials list Polygon-related assets, including MATIC and USDC, but they do not publish a complete table proving that every listed asset can be withdrawn directly over Polygon PoS from every account. The network selector shown at the time of your transaction is therefore decisive.

What you need before starting
Have these items ready:
- A verified Coinme account with a permitted funding method. Coinme says purchases can be funded with cash at participating retailers or Coinstar locations, or with Visa or Mastercard debit cards. Availability varies by state.
- A Polygon-compatible self-custody wallet, such as MetaMask, with access to its receive screen.
- The exact asset you intend to move, such as USDC or another token supported by both Coinme and your destination wallet.
- A secure way to compare the address, asset, network and fee before you authorize the send.
Do not begin by copying a generic Ethereum address from a browser extension and assuming it is automatically a Polygon deposit address. Many EVM wallets display similar-looking addresses on several networks, but the receiving network still determines where the transaction is recorded and whether the service can process it.
Polygon network details that matter
Polygon PoS mainnet
Polygon’s current MetaMask guidance identifies Polygon mainnet with chain ID 137. Its native gas and staking currency is now POL. An example RPC endpoint shown in that guidance is https://polygon.drpc.org, and Polygonscan is identified as the network explorer.

MATIC became POL
Polygon completed the MATIC-to-POL migration in September 2024. POL is the token used to pay transaction gas on Polygon PoS. A wallet can still display “MATIC” when its network configuration or token list has not been updated, so check the network’s current currency symbol and the asset name shown in your wallet rather than relying on an old screenshot or label.
Why you may need POL even when receiving USDC
Receiving USDC or another token does not pay for your later Polygon transactions. To send, swap or approve a token on Polygon, the wallet needs a small POL balance for gas. Polygon support recommends holding POL directly on Polygon mainnet when the purpose is to execute Polygon transactions. Plan how you will obtain POL before moving funds that you expect to use immediately.
Step 1: Set up and fund Coinme
Create or verify your account
Complete Coinme’s account and identity steps in the current app or website. The exact verification requirements and supported services can depend on your state. Do not assume that a feature visible to another customer is available in your jurisdiction.
Choose cash or debit card
Coinme says customers can buy with cash at participating retail or Coinstar locations, or with Visa and Mastercard debit cards. Cash availability depends on the participating location and state. Debit-card purchases are generally the faster online funding route, but the published fee schedule is material:

Those percentages and limits are not a promise that every account receives the same quote. Read the amount you will receive and the total cost in Coinme’s current confirmation screen.

Buy only an asset you can verify for Polygon withdrawal
Coinme’s public materials say it supports Polygon (MATIC), USDC and other assets, and that it operates across 48 U.S. states. Its ATM information also lists Polygon and USDC among assets available for cash pickup. These statements establish public availability, not universal withdrawal compatibility. Before buying a large amount, check whether the asset’s Coinme send flow exposes Polygon PoS as a selectable network.
Step 2: Prepare the Polygon wallet
Open the Polygon network in MetaMask
Polygon is available directly in MetaMask according to Polygon’s official guide. Select Polygon mainnet in the network menu. Verify that the network details show chain ID 137 and POL as the native currency. If you add a network manually, compare every field with the current official wallet guidance; do not paste a random RPC configuration from an untrusted post.

Select the exact receiving asset
In the wallet, open the asset you intend to receive and choose Receive. For USDC, make sure you are viewing the Polygon version of USDC, not a version held on Ethereum, an exchange-specific network or another chain. If the token is not visible, use the wallet’s legitimate token-import function only after verifying the contract and network through an authoritative source.
Copy, do not type, the address
Copy the address from the wallet’s receive screen. Do not manually retype it. Compare the first and last characters after pasting it into Coinme, and keep the wallet open so you can verify the destination again. Never share the wallet’s secret-recovery phrase: anyone who has it can take the assets controlled by that wallet.
Step 3: Check whether Coinme supports the required Polygon route
This is the make-or-break check. Coinme’s general help instructions explain how to send to an external address and warn about mismatched networks, but they do not publish a complete per-asset list of selectable withdrawal networks. Coinme’s public support for Polygon-related assets therefore does not, by itself, prove that your account can send each one over Polygon PoS.

- Open Coinme and sign in.
- Go to Transact.
- Select Send.
- Choose the asset you bought.
- Paste the receive address copied from your Polygon wallet.
- Look for the network selector or network description. It must explicitly identify Polygon or Polygon PoS for this asset, not merely show an EVM-style address.
- Compare the displayed asset symbol with the asset selected in your wallet. USDC on one network is not interchangeable with USDC on another network for this purpose.
If Coinme does not show a network choice, shows a different network, or uses wording you cannot interpret confidently, stop. Do not guess that the destination address will “figure it out.” Contact Coinme support and ask whether that exact asset can be sent over Polygon PoS to an external Polygon address from your account.

- In the Coinme Send flow, enter or paste the destination address.
- Enter the amount. Check whether the field represents the amount you are sending or the amount the recipient will receive.
- Review the asset, destination address and network together. A correct address paired with the wrong network is still a failed transfer scenario.
- Read the complete fee preview. Coinme says the external-send charge is a network fee calculated when the transaction is initiated and shown before submission.
- Confirm that the net amount and fee are acceptable.
- Authorize the transaction with your Coinme passcode.
- Save the transaction identifier or confirmation screen if Coinme provides one.
Coinme states that its send transfers are irreversible. Once you press Confirm, you generally cannot cancel a transaction sent to a wrong address or wrong network.
Address, asset and network: the three-way match
Use this checklist before authorization:

Coinme’s warning is explicit: “Funds sent using a different network will be lost and cannot be recovered.” Treat a network mismatch as potentially permanent, not as a routine delay.
Fees, limits and timing
Purchase cost
For the cited debit-card purchase tier, Coinme lists up to a 5.49% exchange fee plus a 3.25% card-processing fee, with a $1 minimum for the processing charge. A $2,500 daily and $100,000 monthly limit is also cited for that tier. Cash-purchase pricing and limits are not established by the supplied Coinme fee figures, so use the quote presented for your location and method.
Withdrawal cost
The external send uses a network fee calculated at initiation. It can change with network conditions and is shown in Coinme’s preview. Do not estimate the fee from a prior transaction or from a generic Polygon gas discussion.

Confirmation time
Coinme says confirmations can take minutes or longer depending on network activity. A pending status does not necessarily mean the address or network was wrong. First check the transaction status using the identifier Coinme provides and the appropriate Polygon explorer, then contact Coinme support if the transaction remains unresolved beyond a reasonable period or the status is inconsistent.

A small test transaction can reduce the risk of moving a material amount, although it still costs a network fee and does not replace checking the network selector. Use the following approach:
- Confirm the wallet address and Polygon network on both screens.
- Send a small amount of the same asset you plan to move.
- Wait for the transfer to confirm.
- Verify that the asset arrived on Polygon mainnet, not merely that a transaction record exists.
- Only then consider sending the remaining amount, repeating the full preview check.
Do not test with a different asset and assume the result proves compatibility for the final one. Coinme’s available routes can be asset-specific.
What to do after the funds arrive
Verify the network and token balance
Switch the wallet to Polygon mainnet and confirm the balance under the intended token. A balance shown on another network is not evidence that the Polygon transfer arrived.

Keep POL for future actions
If you received USDC or another token, reserve a small POL balance for gas. Without POL, you may be able to see the token but be unable to approve, swap or send it.
Do not expose recovery credentials
Support staff should not need your secret-recovery phrase or private key. Store those credentials offline and never enter them into a website claiming to “unlock” a pending transfer.
When Coinme does not show Polygon
Do not substitute an unsupported network
If the send screen offers Ethereum, another chain, or no network choice at all, do not proceed merely because the wallet address looks compatible. Ask Coinme whether Polygon PoS withdrawal is supported for the selected asset and account.
Consider a different route only after checking custody and fees
You may decide to keep the asset in Coinme temporarily, buy an asset that Coinme explicitly supports on Polygon, or use a separate regulated service that clearly documents Polygon withdrawals. Each alternative introduces its own verification, limits, fees and custody considerations. Do not bridge or swap blindly; a bridge transaction also requires gas and carries smart-contract and network-selection risk.

Troubleshooting
The wallet address is rejected
Confirm that you copied the complete address, removed no characters, and selected the intended asset. If Coinme requires a particular address format or destination type, ask support before changing anything. Do not use a different address simply to bypass a warning.
The asset arrived but is not visible
Switch to Polygon mainnet, refresh the wallet, and verify the token contract through a trusted source. An asset may be present on-chain but absent from the wallet’s default token list. Never import an unverified token just because it has a similar symbol.
The transaction is pending
Use the transaction identifier and check its status on the Polygon explorer. Coinme says confirmation time varies from minutes to longer with network activity. Avoid sending a second transaction until you know whether the first one succeeded.
You used the wrong network or address
Contact Coinme support immediately with the transaction details, but prepare for the possibility that the funds cannot be recovered. Coinme specifically states that funds sent using a different network can be lost and cannot be recovered; blockchain transfers are irreversible.

- The wallet is set to Polygon mainnet, chain ID 137.
- The wallet receive screen is for the exact token being purchased.
- The address was copied directly and checked after pasting.
- Coinme’s send screen explicitly identifies Polygon or Polygon PoS for that asset.
- The amount, destination and network in the preview are correct.
- The live network fee and net received amount are acceptable.
- You have a plan to obtain POL for later Polygon transactions.
- You have not shared your secret-recovery phrase or private key.
The practical answer
Coinme can be used as the purchase step, but a Polygon withdrawal is valid only when the live Coinme transaction confirms the same asset and Polygon PoS network used by the destination wallet. Public asset listings are not a substitute for that check. Match the asset, address and network, inspect the dynamic fee, and use a small test transfer when the amount is significant. If Polygon is not clearly offered for the asset, stop rather than guessing.
