Choose how to build your cart
You do not need a Beatport Streaming subscription to make a one-time track purchase. The basic route is to find the music on Beatport.com, add tracks to the cart, and complete checkout on the website. Beatport’s support instructions describe the available cart-building routes; they do not establish a single current track price, so check the price shown for each item and the total at checkout. The mobile and DJ apps can help you collect or queue music, but neither changes where payment is completed: checkout takes place on Beatport.com.

Before paying, review the cart to make sure it contains the tracks and releases you intended to buy. This matters if you have built a shortlist in an app, added a playlist, or encountered a track that is available only as part of a release. Individual prices vary, and a “Release only” label means the track cannot be bought on its own.

Buy directly on Beatport.com
Browse the store on Beatport.com and add the tracks you want to your cart. Review the cart before checkout, especially if you are buying several tracks or an entire release. Complete the purchase on the website. Beatport’s help center has current cart guidance in How do I add tracks to my cart?

This is the most direct route when you already know what you want: select the music in the store, check that the cart reflects your choices, and continue to checkout. The support guidance does not specify a stable universal price for a track, so use the amount shown for the item and the checkout total rather than relying on an assumed per-track cost. You can make a one-time store purchase without subscribing to Streaming.
Start with a playlist in the mobile app
Beatport says its mobile app currently does not let you add tracks directly to the cart. If you discover or collect tracks in the app, create a playlist there, then visit Beatport.com and add the playlist’s tracks to your cart from the website. This is a way to prepare a shortlist, not a way to complete payment in the mobile app.
In practical terms, keep the playlist as your selection list, then switch to the website to place those tracks in the cart and check out. Do not mistake saving music to a playlist for purchasing it: payment and the completed order are separate steps, and the mobile app does not provide the direct add-to-cart route described by Beatport.

The Beatport DJ App lets you add individual tracks or all tracks in a playlist to the default Beatport cart. Its cart limit is 100 tracks. When you choose Checkout, the DJ App redirects you to Beatport.com to finish the purchase. See Beatport’s DJ App purchasing instructions for the app workflow.
Use the DJ App when you want to build a cart while working with individual tracks or a playlist, but remember the 100-track cap. If you need to buy more than 100 tracks, the documented cart limit means you should plan for separate cart-building or purchase sessions rather than expecting one DJ App cart to hold them all. Either way, the final checkout is on Beatport.com, not inside the DJ App.
Check for a “Release only” restriction
A track marked “Release only” cannot be purchased by itself. Beatport’s instruction is to buy the entire release to get that track; the label is a purchase restriction, not an indication that the track is free or included with a subscription. The store’s help page explains how to purchase a “Release only” track.

If you see this label while assembling a cart, adjust your selection and review the release price and contents before completing checkout. You cannot resolve the restriction by subscribing to Streaming or by trying another app route: Beatport’s stated way to obtain the track is to purchase the release as a whole.
Download tracks after checkout
After buying, go to your Collection. Click the blue download icon beside a purchased track to add it to Downloads. Then open Downloads and use the blue icon beside the track to download the file to your device. Beatport’s re-download guide also describes this Collection-to-Downloads workflow.
The distinction between these two pages is useful: Collection is where you choose purchased tracks to queue for download, and Downloads is where you start saving the queued files. Clicking the icon in Collection adds a track to the Downloads list; it is not the final file download action. If you have bought several items, queue the tracks you need first, then use the Downloads page to download them individually or together.
Download several tracks together
- Open Downloads and locate the tracks you have queued there from Collection.
- Select the checkboxes beside the tracks you want. Beatport also supports selecting all queued tracks.
- Use the download control at the top of the page to start the batch download.
Beatport’s multiple-track download instructions cover the selection controls. A browser may block a batch that triggers multiple automatic downloads. If selecting tracks does not start the download, check the browser’s current site permissions and allow automatic downloads for Beatport where your browser offers that setting. The exact menu names can change by browser version; Beatport has a troubleshooting page for Download Selected not working.
If the batch control appears to do nothing, first confirm that you have queued the tracks from Collection and selected the intended checkboxes. Then check whether the browser is blocking multiple automatic downloads. Beatport’s instructions describe permission settings for browsers including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, but browser menus can change; use the current site-permission or download-permission controls in your browser rather than relying on an old menu path. You can also use the individual download icon beside a track if you only need one file or want to avoid a batch action.

Re-download a track you bought earlier
Beatport Customer Support’s article, updated May 5, 2026, says a track can be downloaded up to 20 times without a Streaming subscription. To retrieve a file, add the purchased track to Downloads from Collection, then download it there as you would after a new purchase. The allowance is per track, according to Beatport’s support guidance.

This is useful if you need to recover a file after changing devices or losing a local copy, but the allowance is finite for buyers without Streaming. Keep a reliable local backup of purchased files if you expect to use them over time. Beatport’s support page does not say that a subscription is needed for the original purchase or first download; the subscription point applies to re-download access after the stated allowance.
After that 20-download allowance is used, Beatport says a Streaming plan unlocks unlimited re-downloads through the subscription, subject to the current Terms and content availability. Beatport’s Terms describe CLOUD as a feature for an active Streaming subscription that allows unlimited re-downloads of eligible tracks previously purchased from the store. That is not a promise that every past purchase will remain available indefinitely: content can become unavailable, including if a supplier opts out. Under the Terms, access continues through the current subscription month after termination; do not assume it continues after that period.
Unlimited re-downloads are therefore conditional: the track must be eligible and available, and the relevant subscription access must be active. They do not mean that every track streamed through a plan becomes a purchased download. If you are considering a plan mainly to recover purchases, compare the recurring fee with your need for re-downloads and read the current plan terms.
If a recent order failed or a download problem needs intervention, Beatport says support may reset downloads for failed recent orders. Include the order number or purchase date and the relevant track details when contacting support. Providing those details helps support identify the transaction and the affected item; a reset is described for failed recent orders, not as a general guarantee that any exhausted download allowance will be restored.
One-time purchase or Streaming subscription?
These are different access models. A store purchase is a one-time purchase of downloadable music, with the re-download limit described above for customers without a Streaming subscription. Streaming is recurring access with plan-specific features; it is not required to buy a track initially. The subscription can matter if you need unlimited eligible re-downloads, but it does not convert streaming access into ownership of every streamed track.

Beatport’s Terms page, last updated September 28, 2026, lists these primary monthly Streaming prices in USD: Essential at $10.99, Advanced at $15.99, Professional at $29.99, and Professional+ at $34.99. These are subscription fees, not per-track prices. Beatport says currency can vary with purchase location and that plan details and fees may change, so check the current plan information and checkout total before paying. The Terms also say subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date; the subscription month starts on the purchase date and ends or renews on the same date the following month. Use the price comparison as a way to choose the access model, not as a per-track price list. If you want files for a small set of tracks and do not expect to exceed the re-download allowance, the store route is a one-time purchase. If unlimited re-downloads of eligible purchased tracks are important, review the subscription cost and conditions. The monthly figures above are the USD prices Beatport listed in its Terms last updated September 28, 2026; regional currency and future plan changes can affect the amount charged. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before its renewal date, so check the billing date and cancellation terms when you sign up.
What you can do with purchased downloads
Beatport’s Terms define a download as a purchased product that may be saved to a hard drive for unlimited playback time, transferred to a compatible portable device, or burned to CD or DVD, in each case for personal private use only—not commercial or public use or distribution. The Terms also prohibit sharing or uploading downloaded files. Beatport’s support page on what you can do with purchased tracks says they can be listened to on a computer or portable digital audio device and burned to disc, and that users cannot trade Beatport files.
Beatport’s Terms put the personal-use limitation on the permitted ways of keeping and playing a purchased download. A purchase does not authorize you to share the file with another person, upload it, distribute it, or use it commercially or in a public performance. If you are buying music for a particular event, business, or public setting, do not assume that a store download by itself supplies every permission you need.
A Streaming subscription likewise should not be treated as public-performance permission: Beatport’s Streaming Terms say streamed content is for personal use and that public performance requires additional licensing not included in the subscription. Requirements may depend on country and use, so check the applicable licensing rules for your situation. If you plan to move saved files between devices, use portable storage supported by your equipment; Beatport’s compatibility language does not certify a particular drive or player. A USB flash drive may be a convenient option for moving a local library if your equipment supports it, but it is not required to buy or download tracks.
Beatport describes downloaded products as files that can be stored for unlimited playback time, but that should not be confused with a right to redistribute them. Keep the files for your own private listening and transfer them only to compatible devices for that personal use. The distinctions between a purchased download, a streamed track, and a public-performance license matter: buying a file or paying for Streaming does not automatically clear public use.
