In the U.S., the listed Zcash fund identified in SEC filings is The Zcash ETF, ticker ZCSH, on NYSE Arca. To buy it, search for ZCSH in a brokerage account that supports the security, verify the fund and exchange, review the current prospectus and order costs, then place a share order. Buying ZCSH gives you fund shares—not ZEC in a personal wallet.

Steps to buy ZCSH through a broker

  1. Check whether your broker offers it. Open the broker’s order-entry screen and search for ZCSH. Availability and account restrictions depend on the broker. If the symbol does not appear, ask the broker; do not substitute a similarly named crypto product.
  2. Verify the listing. Confirm that the result is The Zcash ETF and that it trades on NYSE Arca. NYSE Arca’s SEC-filed certification supports the listing identification. NYSE Arca listing certification
  3. Read the latest prospectus. Review the sponsor fee, valuation method, custody arrangements, and risk factors. These terms can affect the value and risks of your investment. The Zcash ETF prospectus
  4. Review the order preview. Check the share quantity, quoted price, order type, estimated charges, and any broker restrictions before submitting. The prospectus says customary brokerage commissions and other charges may apply. A market order prioritizes execution but may fill at a price different from the quote; a limit order sets the maximum price you will pay, but may not execute.
  5. Submit the order and monitor it. Your broker routes a securities order. Once executed, you hold fund shares in the brokerage account. The share price can move with ZEC and can trade above or below the fund’s net asset value (NAV).

What you own when you buy ZCSH

The trust holds ZEC and issues shares representing beneficial interests in the trust. A retail investor buys those shares on the exchange; there is no need to buy ZEC directly or set up a Zcash wallet for this transaction. Large-block creation and redemption are handled through authorized participants, not ordinary retail buyers. The Zcash ETF prospectus

Sponsor fee

The prospectus states an annual Sponsor’s Fee rate of 2.5% of the NAV Fee Basis Amount. It also explains that the amount of ZEC represented by each share declines over time as ZEC is used to pay fees and expenses. Verify the current terms in the latest prospectus. The Zcash ETF fee disclosure

Brokerage charges

Broker commissions and other transaction charges may be separate from the sponsor fee. The filings do not establish what your broker will charge, so check its order preview and fee schedule before submitting. The Zcash ETF prospectus on brokerage charges

How the fund values ZEC—and why the share price may differ

The prospectus describes an index based on the CoinDesk Zcash Benchmark Rate and valuation at 4:00 p.m. New York time on business days; its stated benchmark reference is as of April 1, 2026. Index pricing and ZEC volatility affect calculated NAV, while exchange supply and demand can cause ZCSH to trade at a different price. Risks that matter to shareholders

  • ZEC volatility: Changes in the value of ZEC can materially affect the fund and its shares.
  • Premium or discount to NAV: Exchange trading prices may not match the value of the trust’s holdings per share.
  • Custody and loss: The prospectus warns that the trust’s ZEC is not fully insured and that investors may have limited recourse if trust-held ZEC is lost and no person or entity is liable.
  • Historical discount context: The prospectus reports that the trust traded at a discount to NAV on 700 days between October 18, 2021 and June 30, 2026, and at a 17% discount on June 30, 2026. Those figures describe its pre-listing OTC history; they do not establish the current trading price or discount of NYSE Arca shares.

Do not mistake a proposed fund for an available ticker

A Winklevoss Zcash ETF registration statement filed October 6, 2026, is preliminary. It anticipates a Nasdaq listing under ticker WINK, subject to issuance, and says the securities may not be sold until the registration becomes effective. That filing alone does not establish WINK as an available fund to buy. Winklevoss Zcash ETF preliminary registration statement
