Start by checking whether your exact model is officially sold in your country, then compare an authorized local purchase with an imported one. Before paying, confirm the seller will accept your order and deliver to an eligible address, calculate the complete delivered cost, and establish where returns and warranty claims would be handled.
Availability, Google Store checkout rules, import charges and warranty support all depend on the model, purchase region and destination. Treat an overseas listing as a cross-border transaction—not as proof that Fitbit officially supports the device where you live.

What “not sold in your country” actually means
A Fitbit may be absent from an official store for several different reasons. The model may not be launched in your market, the local store may be temporarily out of stock, Google may sell a different Fitbit model there, or delivery may be restricted even though the product page is visible. Those situations have different solutions.

As of October 13, 2026, the page listed these regional combinations:
| Model | Countries and regions listed by Google |
|---|---|
| Fitbit Air | Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States except Puerto Rico |
| Fitbit Charge 6 | Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States except Puerto Rico |
| Fitbit Sense 2, Inspire 3 and Versa 4 | Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States except Puerto Rico |
| Fitbit Ace LTE | United States except Puerto Rico |
| Fitbit Edge | The regional page lists this product; verify the current product page for the countries and stock status before ordering |
Use the table only as a dated snapshot. Open the live availability page, select the exact model, and then inspect that model’s product page. Google’s stock-notification emails do not reserve a device and do not guarantee its price or promotion.
Step 1: Check official availability for the exact model
- Identify the precise model and version. “Fitbit” is not a single international SKU. Write down the model name, color, size and any cellular or subscription requirement that matters to you.
- Check Google’s regional availability list. Find your country under that model rather than assuming that another model’s listing applies.
- Check the product page for stock. A listed country can still have no inventory. If the page offers an alert, treat it only as a notification.
- Check your territory, not just your country name. The United States listing, for example, explicitly excludes Puerto Rico. Territories and special regions may have different delivery rules.
If your country is listed but the model is unavailable, waiting for local stock is usually the lowest-risk route because the purchase, returns and support stay within one market. If the country is not listed, move to the local-retailer and import checks below rather than assuming that a foreign Google Store will ship to you.

Search electronics retailers that identify themselves as authorized sellers, and check the manufacturer’s current country-specific store or support information. Compare the exact model number, included accessories, language of documentation and return terms. A local listing on a marketplace is not the same thing as official local availability; the seller may be importing old stock or selling a refurbished unit.
Ask the retailer these questions before ordering:
- Is the unit new, refurbished, open-box or used?
- Who supplied it, and can the seller provide a tax invoice showing the model and serial number?
- Where would a defective-on-arrival unit be sent?
- Does the seller provide the local statutory return or repair period, in addition to any manufacturer warranty?
- Will the seller handle a later warranty claim, or must you contact Google yourself?
A locally supported alternative Fitbit model can be a better practical choice than a particular imported model. Decide whether the missing model’s feature is worth giving up easier returns, predictable taxes and a clear service address.
Step 3: Understand Google Store region restrictions
Google’s regional purchasing rule is explicit: To buy a device from the Google Store, your shipping address must be in the same region as the Google Store site you want to buy it from.
A foreign storefront is therefore not an official promise to ship to your home country.

Before attempting checkout on a foreign store, verify all of the following:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- The store accepts your payment method and billing details.
- The shipping address is in the store’s supported region.
- The store allows the specific Fitbit model to be delivered to that address.
- You can lawfully receive and import the device into your destination country.
- You have a realistic plan to get the parcel from the eligible address to you.
A parcel-forwarding address may appear to satisfy the first delivery leg, but neither the Google Store rule nor Google’s published guidance establishes that a forwarder will be accepted, that the order will not be cancelled, or that warranty service will follow the parcel to another country. Treat forwarding as a buyer-investigated option with its own fees and failure risks, not as a Google-supported method.
Step 4: Vet an overseas seller before sending money
If an authorized seller in a supported country will ship directly to you, confirm the transaction in writing. If the seller requires a domestic address, determine who actually owns the sale: the original retailer, a forwarding company or a marketplace seller. Each party may have different obligations for refunds and defects.
Identity and authenticity checks
- Use the seller’s legal name, physical address and customer-service contact details, not only a screen name.
- Check whether the listing identifies a new, genuine Fitbit and gives a model or SKU that matches the official product page.
- Request a dated invoice and ask whether the serial number will appear on it.
- Read the seller’s return address and deadline before buying. An overseas return can cost more than the device’s apparent discount.
- Confirm who pays shipping when the item arrives damaged, is defective on arrival or fails during the warranty period.
Payment and delivery checks
A foreign card, digital wallet or billing address can be rejected even when the listing is visible. Do not use a payment method that removes your ability to dispute a non-delivery or counterfeit item. Obtain a tracking number and retain the order confirmation, correspondence and packaging.
Step 5: Calculate the landed cost, not just the listing price
The relevant comparison is the amount you will spend to receive and, if necessary, return a working device. Build the estimate before checkout:
| Cost component | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Device price | Currency, sales tax at the source, condition and included accessories |
| International shipping | Carrier, insurance, delivery restrictions and whether a signature is required |
| Foreign-exchange costs | Card or payment-provider conversion rate and foreign-transaction fee |
| Destination charges | Import duty, VAT/GST or sales tax, customs processing and brokerage fees |
| Forwarding charges, if used | Receiving, storage, repacking, insurance and the second-leg shipment |
| Return or warranty shipping | Outbound and return postage, customs paperwork and who pays each leg |
The exact duty and tax depend on your country, the declared value, the shipping route and local law; no single amount can be quoted without those details. Google’s US Store terms place responsibility for applicable import and export compliance on the buyer and do not calculate your destination-country charges for you.

Compare this landed figure with a locally supported model, not merely with the overseas sticker price. A small saving can disappear after tax, brokerage and one international return.
Step 6: Establish the warranty and service route before purchase
Google’s current Fitbit claim instructions say warranty terms vary according to where the device was bought. Online and phone support is available in places where Fitbit is sold. If the purchase was made in another country or region—or the product is not sold in your region—support may not be available through the local channel. The warranty supplied with the device and the claim process for the purchase country control what you can actually do.
This is a risk, not an automatic verdict that every imported Fitbit is impossible to repair. Ask the seller and consult the supplied warranty for:
- The warranty period and the country or region in which it applies
- Whether the seller or Google receives the first claim
- The address or service center to which the device must be shipped
- Who pays inspection, replacement and shipping costs
- Whether proof of purchase from that seller is required
Information a claim may require
Google says a claim can require your name and contact details, the device serial number, proof of purchase and answers to diagnostic questions. For a covered in-warranty claim, the device is sent for inspection and may be replaced if it is defective. For an out-of-warranty problem, you can ask whether you qualify for service, but eligibility is not guaranteed.
Do not apply legacy terms automatically
Fitbit’s older limited-warranty page is expressly for earlier terms and directs owners of devices bought on or after July 11, 2023 to Google’s Hardware Warranty Center. That legacy page states one year for new products generally and two years for a resident of the European Economic Area who bought the product in the EEA. It also limits coverage to jurisdictions where Fitbit or an authorized reseller or agent sells the products. Those statements apply only where their stated conditions fit; they are not a universal current warranty for every imported device.
Google’s US Store sales terms add that Google may provide warranty support for Google-manufactured devices only when they are located in a supported country, except where applicable law requires otherwise. The same terms say delivery is not available to all locations and that an order may be refused when the buyer is not in a country where devices may be purchased. These are US-store terms, so check the source-country terms, destination-country law and the warranty packaged with your particular unit.

Step 7: Keep a complete purchase record
Save the invoice, seller identity, order number, serial number, product-page description, payment receipt, tracking history, customs documents and warranty terms in one folder. Photograph the unopened package and the serial label before setup. This evidence helps establish where and when you bought the device if a seller disputes the transaction.
Test the watch or tracker promptly, while the seller’s return window is open. Confirm charging, pairing, sensors, notifications and any model-specific service or subscription requirement. Do not discard the box until you are satisfied that the device works and you understand the return process.
Before sending a Fitbit for service or replacement, sync it and back up any data you need. Google’s support instructions advise backing up data before a replacement process. Remove personal account access as directed by support and keep the tracking receipt.
When an import is a poor bargain
Choose a locally supported device or wait for an official launch when any of these conditions apply:
- The seller will not provide a verifiable invoice or serial number.
- The only return address is unclear, inaccessible or in a country you cannot ship to economically.
- The seller refuses to explain who handles a defect claim.
- The imported price is close to a locally supported alternative after taxes and shipping.
- You need uninterrupted support for health, safety or time-critical tracking features.
- Your country requires approvals, labeling or import documentation that the seller cannot provide.
An import can still make sense when the model’s specific feature matters, the seller is transparent, the delivered cost is acceptable and you are prepared to handle service in the purchase region. The decision is about risk and logistics as much as availability.
A decision framework for choosing your route
| Route | Main advantage | Questions that decide whether it works |
|---|---|---|
| Official local Google Store | Clear regional checkout and the simplest support path | Is the exact model in stock and does the store deliver to your address? |
| Authorized local retailer | Local consumer remedies and easier returns | Is the unit genuinely authorized and is the model the one you need? |
| Foreign seller shipping directly | Access to a model unavailable locally | Will it ship to your country, and who handles customs, returns and warranty? |
| Foreign store plus forwarding | May provide access where direct shipping is blocked | Will the store accept the order, and can you absorb two-leg shipping and cross-border service? |
| Marketplace listing | Potentially broad inventory | Can you verify seller identity, authenticity, invoice, return address and warranty responsibility? |
Score each route on seven factors: total landed price, seller authorization and authenticity evidence, delivery eligibility, return window and shipping cost, warranty territory and claim logistics, the model features you actually need, and compliance with destination import rules. Reject a route that fails a non-negotiable factor such as legal importability or a workable defect return.

Common problems and what to do
The store shows the product but rejects your address
Do not keep changing addresses or payment details to bypass the restriction. The Google Store requires the shipping address to be in the same region as the store site. Check an authorized local seller or ask a legitimate foreign seller whether it offers direct international delivery under its own terms.
The order is cancelled after payment
Save the cancellation notice and confirm when the authorization will be released. Do not assume a replacement order will be accepted. Recheck the store’s eligible-country and address rules before trying another route.
The package arrives damaged or the device is wrong
Photograph the outer packaging, shipping label, seals and device before returning anything. Notify the seller within its stated window and follow its written instructions. Do not send the unit to a random local service center unless the seller or warranty terms authorize that destination.

The local support page cannot find your serial number
That can indicate a regional service limitation, an incorrect model entry or an authenticity problem. Contact the seller with your invoice and serial number, then consult the warranty supplied with the device. A local support form not accepting the product does not by itself prove that every claim is barred, but it is a reason to resolve the service route before relying on the device.
The device fails after the return window
Use the purchase-region warranty process, not only the local retail channel. Prepare the requested contact details, serial number, proof of purchase and diagnostic information. Ask whether out-of-warranty service is available; Google says eligibility is not guaranteed.
Final pre-payment checklist
- Exact model and destination checked on Google’s current regional list.
- Current stock confirmed on the product page.
- Local authorized options compared.
- Foreign seller identity, condition and invoice verified.
- Payment acceptance and delivery address confirmed in writing.
- Device price, shipping, conversion fees, taxes, duties and brokerage estimated.
- Return address, deadline and payer for return shipping understood.
- Warranty region, claim contact and service destination documented.
- Import and export requirements checked for your country.
- Funds available for a possible international return or inspection.
The Bottom Line
Buy abroad only after the exact model, delivery eligibility, landed cost and warranty route are all clear. If any one of those remains uncertain, a locally supported Fitbit—or waiting for official availability—is usually the safer purchase.
