Crafting takes 1,800 seconds (30 minutes). Carry the finished stone to an uncontested location outside the target castle, place it, defend it for 150 seconds, then interact with it to become a Siege Golem for up to 300 seconds. The golem attacks stone walls and doors; breaking one starts an eight-minute Breached state that lets structures take damage from all sources, subject to the server’s siege settings.

What the Siege Golem Stone does
The Siege Golem Stone is a crafted siege consumable. It is not a permanent mount, a station, or a form you can activate safely inside a castle. You transport it to the outside of an enemy castle, place it in an uncontested location, and survive the activation countdown while other players can respond.

Current unlock, recipe, and craft time
Unlock requirement
The current versioned item record for V Rising 1.1.13.0-r99712-b17 lists Terah the Geomancer as the unlock source. Defeat Terah to make the Siege Golem Stone available in the Gem Cutting Table’s recipes.

Materials and station
| Requirement | Current value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Unlock | Defeat Terah the Geomancer | The recipe is gated behind this V Blood encounter. |
| Crafting station | Gem Cutting Table | The stone is made at this station, not at a basic crafting bench. |
| Obsidian | 8 | Required for one Siege Golem Stone. |
| Primal Blood Essence | 1 | Required for one Siege Golem Stone. |
| Craft time | 1,800 seconds (30 minutes) | Allow the full half-hour shown by the current item record. |
Gather every material before opening the recipe so the table can begin immediately. A 30-minute craft is a strategic commitment: starting it shortly before an attack can leave your clan waiting while the target’s defenders change position or log in.
Do not use the old pre-1.1 material list
Older guides, including a dated 2022 guide, describe a different recipe: 200 Stone Brick, 200 Gem Dust, 16 Scourgestone, and 12 Greater Blood Essence. That is a legacy, pre-1.1 recipe and should not be used to plan a current craft. If an old video or wiki page disagrees with the four current requirements above, check the recipe displayed by your own Gem Cutting Table and the version of the server you are playing on.
Preparation before you carry the stone
The visible 150-second activation is the most vulnerable part of the assault. The stone must be placed outside the castle in an uncontested location, so preparation should happen before you put it on the ground.
- Confirm the target: Scout the castle’s outer walls and doors, nearby terrain, entrances, and likely defender routes.
- Check the server rules: Standard settings announce a golem spawn globally, while server configuration can change announcement and map-visibility behavior.
- Bring the clan together: Assign a player to place and interact with the stone, players to defend the stone, and players to watch the castle and approach routes.
- Choose an uncontested placement: The stone cannot be deployed inside a castle. Place it where the game accepts the location and where your defenders can reach it quickly.
- Time the craft: Start the 30-minute Gem Cutting Table craft early enough that the group can assemble before delivery.
- Plan the breach: Decide which wall or door the golem will hit first and how clan members will exploit the opening immediately.
Do not begin activation merely because the stone has arrived. If the server announces the spawn, defenders receive a warning as soon as you place it. Start only when your group is ready to protect the full countdown and move onto the first target.
Step-by-step: build, place, and transform
- Defeat Terah the Geomancer. This unlocks the current Siege Golem Stone recipe.
- Collect eight Obsidian and one Primal Blood Essence. These are the current ingredients for one stone.
- Use a Gem Cutting Table. Select the Siege Golem Stone recipe and start the craft. The listed craft duration is 1,800 seconds, or 30 minutes.
- Take the finished stone to the target area. Carry it to an uncontested location outside the castle you intend to attack.
- Place the Siege Golem Stone. The game will reject an invalid or castle-interior placement. Once placed, the stone begins its activation sequence.
- Defend the stone for 150 seconds. The item description specifies a 150-second activation period. Treat this as a hold objective: attackers can pressure the stone, separate your defenders, or force you away before the transformation is ready.
- Interact with the activated stone. When the countdown completes, use the interaction prompt to transform into the Siege Golem.
- Attack stone walls and doors. Move to the planned target and use the golem’s attacks to open the castle. Your clan should follow the golem’s progress and be ready to enter when a structure breaks.
Activation and golem duration
The 150-second activation window
Activation lasts 150 seconds after placement. During this period, the stone is the objective rather than the golem: there is no transformation to use until the timer completes. Keep defenders near enough to respond to attacks but spread enough that one enemy push cannot remove everyone at once.
If defenders arrive, prioritize survival and the stone’s protection over chasing kills. Losing the stone before activation wastes the materials and the 30-minute production cycle. If your server broadcasts the event, assume opponents can arrive before the countdown ends.
The maximum 300-second form
After activation, the Siege Golem form lasts up to 300 seconds, or five minutes. This is a maximum, not a guarantee. Incoming damage can destroy the form sooner, and the amount of damage it can absorb scales with the health of the Siege Stone.
Use the time as a short, coordinated breach operation rather than wandering around the map. Move directly to the selected wall or door, keep defenders between the golem and enemy pressure where possible, and have clan members ready to enter as soon as the structure falls.

What the Siege Golem can break
The Siege Golem is a siege tool for stone walls and doors. Its purpose is to create an opening in castle stone defenses. The available mechanics description does not establish that it can damage every structure type, interior object, or non-stone building, so plan around the stone wall or door you can identify from outside.
Choose the first target for tactical access, not just convenience. A wall that opens a direct route to the castle interior may be more valuable than a door that leaves your group exposed in a narrow approach. Keep the rest of the clan close enough to use the opening while the golem is still active.
Siege states and their timers
| Event | Duration or effect | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Golem attack on a castle | Applies Castle Under Attack for one minute | Expect defenders and treat every attack as a visible escalation. |
| Wall or door destroyed | Applies Breached for eight minutes | Push players and damage sources through the opening during this limited window. |
| Breached damage behavior | Structures take damage from all sources; the mechanics description specifies a four-times multiplier | Concentrate your clan’s damage while the state is active instead of waiting. |
| Golem form | Up to 300 seconds, shortened by incoming damage | Reach and break the planned target quickly. |
The one-minute Castle Under Attack state is applied by each golem attack on a castle. Breaking a wall or door then starts the eight-minute Breached state. Because these timers overlap with defender response and the golem’s five-minute maximum form, the assault should be organized around the first opening rather than a series of unplanned targets.
Server settings change how risky the assault is
On standard settings, the game globally announces a golem spawn. Server settings can change both announcement behavior and whether the event is visible on the map. Those options alter the time defenders have to respond, so the same recipe can support very different siege plans on different servers.
If announcements and map visibility are enabled
Assume the target and other clans will know when the stone is placed. Use concealed approach routes where the terrain allows, but do not count on surprise after activation begins. Assign scouts to watch roads and likely reinforcements, and start only when your defenders can hold the stone for the full 150 seconds.
If visibility is reduced
Reduced visibility improves the chance of reaching activation without immediate interference, but it does not remove the need for a defense. Nearby players can still discover the stone, and the target can react once the wall or door is attacked. Keep the same hold-and-breach plan rather than assuming the event is private.
Check settings before spending materials
Read the server’s siege and announcement rules before crafting or transporting a stone. Detection, map visibility, and related timers may be configured differently from the standard behavior described above. If the server uses custom rules, follow the values shown in its settings or community documentation instead of assuming the default announcement model.
A practical clan assault plan
Role 1: stone carrier and golem pilot
One player should carry the stone, place it, complete the interaction after activation, and operate the golem. This keeps the group clear about who owns the objective and prevents confusion at the transformation prompt.

Role 2: activation defenders
Most of the group should protect the stone during the 150-second countdown. Hold positions that cover the stone without allowing an attacker to isolate individual players. If opponents push, delay them and preserve access to the stone rather than pursuing them away from it.
Role 3: scouts and flank watchers
Scouts watch the approach, castle exits, and likely reinforcement paths. Their job is early warning and information: report defender numbers and movement so the group can decide whether to continue, reposition, or abandon the attempt before the stone is lost.

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchRole 4: breach team
As soon as the golem reaches the selected wall or door, the breach team positions to enter. When the structure breaks and Breached starts, this team should exploit the opening immediately while the eight-minute state is active.
How to use the breach window efficiently
- Commit to one opening first. Splitting attacks across several walls wastes the golem’s limited form and makes defense easier.
- Keep the entry route clear. Players should know exactly where to move when the stone structure falls.
- Exploit Breached immediately. The state lasts eight minutes, and its mechanics allow damage from all sources with the described four-times multiplier.
- Keep pressure on the objective. Do not let the clan drift into unrelated fights while the breach timer runs.
- Reassess after the first opening. If defenders regroup or the golem is close to destruction, use the remaining form to secure the most valuable access rather than attempting a distant second target.
The breach timer is a window for coordinated damage, not a promise that the entire castle will fall. The result depends on the target’s layout, defender pressure, and the server’s configured siege rules.

Using a legacy recipe
Symptom: You gather Stone Brick, Gem Dust, Scourgestone, and Greater Blood Essence because an old guide lists them.
Fix: For version 1.1.13.0-r99712-b17, use eight Obsidian and one Primal Blood Essence at a Gem Cutting Table. The older four-material list is pre-1.1 information.
Trying to place the stone inside the castle
Symptom: The placement preview is invalid or the game refuses deployment.
Fix: Move to an uncontested location outside the target castle. The item cannot be deployed inside a castle.

Starting without a 150-second defense
Symptom: The stone is destroyed or the group is forced away before transformation.

Fix: Scout first, gather the clan, and place only when defenders are ready to hold the objective for the full activation period.
Assuming the golem always lasts five minutes
Symptom: The form ends before the planned target is broken.
Fix: Remember that 300 seconds is the maximum. Incoming damage can destroy the form earlier, and durability scales with the Siege Stone’s health. Reduce unnecessary exposure and attack the planned wall or door immediately.
Ignoring announcements and map rules
Symptom: Defenders arrive far earlier than expected.

Fix: Check the server’s announcement and map-visibility settings. Standard settings globally announce a golem spawn, while custom servers can change how the event is revealed.
Failing to exploit Breached
Symptom: The clan opens a wall but loses momentum while the eight-minute timer runs.
Fix: Assign an entry team before the attack, move through the opening as soon as it appears, and concentrate available damage during the Breached state.

1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDecision checklist before you commit a stone
- Have you defeated Terah and confirmed the recipe is unlocked?
- Are eight Obsidian and one Primal Blood Essence available?
- Is the Gem Cutting Table free for the 30-minute craft?
- Do you know whether this server announces golem spawns or shows them on the map?
- Can your group defend an uncontested placement for 150 seconds?
- Has the clan selected one stone wall or door as the first target?
- Are scouts watching the approach and a breach team ready to enter?
- Does everyone understand that the golem can last less than five minutes under fire?
- Will the group be able to use the full eight-minute Breached state after the first opening?
Bottom line for a successful siege
Craft the current Siege Golem Stone with eight Obsidian and one Primal Blood Essence at a Gem Cutting Table after defeating Terah the Geomancer. Treat the 150-second activation as a defended objective, not a formality. Once transformed, go straight for a stone wall or door, protect the golem so it can survive up to five minutes, and have the clan ready to exploit the eight-minute Breached window. Before committing the materials, verify the server’s announcement, map, and siege settings because those rules determine how much warning the defender receives.
