Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To publish a focused landing page while the rest of your site is still in progress, make that page the homepage, move unfinished pages to Hidden from navigation, then build, review and publish the page. Hidden pages are not private: visitors may still open them by URL, and they may be indexed unless you separately use the page’s search-engine settings.
Set the landing page as your homepage
- Open the site editor from your account dashboard: go to Websites and choose Edit website for the project you want to update. The editor’s Pages panel is where you manage site pages and navigation. See the manual-mode editor guide.
- In Pages and navigation, select the page you want visitors to reach first and set it as the homepage. You can adapt the existing homepage or add a page first, then make that page the homepage. The landing-page instructions explain this setup.
- Move pages that are not ready into Hidden from navigation. They will no longer appear in the site menu, while the landing page remains the visible entry point.
Know what hiding a page does—and does not do
Hidden from navigation changes the menu, not access permissions. Someone who knows a hidden page’s URL may still be able to open it. A hidden page may also appear in search results unless you separately configure it not to be indexed. If a page contains information that must remain private, hiding it from the menu is not sufficient. The landing-page guidance describes the active-page limitation; the same guidance distinguishes navigation hiding from privacy.

The site must have at least one active page, and this workflow does not unpublish the entire website. Keep the landing page active while you work on other pages.

Choose a section starting point
Add a section between existing sections, then choose the approach that matches how much structure you want to start with:

| Starting point | Best suited to | What to review |
|---|---|---|
| Section template | A ready-made structure you can customize. | Adjust the layout and content to fit the page’s offer. |
| AI-generated section | A section drafted from a description when you want a generated starting point. | Edit the result. If it should show real products, posts or appointments, explicitly ask for it to connect to the relevant site content; otherwise it may produce placeholders. |
| Blank section | More hands-on control over the section’s structure. | Add and arrange the elements you need. |
You can reorder and customize sections after adding them. Read how sections work in manual mode.
Add and arrange page elements
Use the element panel to add items such as text, images, buttons, video and forms. Drag an element into position or insert it into a selected section, then adjust its content and placement. The element guide covers adding and customizing these items.

Use generated pages and sections as editable drafts
Manual mode supports generating an additional page or section from a description, and you can edit the generated result afterward. Generation takes the site’s business idea and mood into account. Check every generated element for accuracy and make sure any product, blog or appointment content points to real site data rather than placeholders. Learn about generating pages and sections; the mood-matching guidance explains how generation uses the existing site.
Review search settings and the mobile layout
Before launch, open the page and site settings in the editor. The available SEO controls include meta titles and descriptions, image alt text, heading tags, a noindex setting, link attributes, sitemap and site language. Use the noindex setting when you want search engines not to index a page; this is separate from hiding the page in navigation. The manual-mode guide describes the editor and its mobile-editing controls.

Switch to the mobile version and inspect it separately. A desktop edit does not necessarily produce the mobile layout you want, so check text, images, buttons and forms at the mobile view before publishing.

- In the editor, click Publish in the top-right corner. Until its first publication, the site remains a private draft.
- After publishing, open the live page in a private or incognito browser window, or use preview mode, and check that the landing page loads and the intended navigation is visible.
- Publish again after later edits; changes in the editor do not reach the live site until you publish them.
Allow a few minutes for a published change to appear. If you have just connected a custom domain, it can take up to 24 hours to work globally; a preview domain can be used in the meantime. See the manual-mode publishing guidance.
