This guide explains the design choices and what is established about two possible building blocks: ChatGPT scheduled tasks and Telegram’s Bot API.
What a proactive loop needs to do
Think of the workflow as a sequence: a schedule or supported event starts a check; the check evaluates a page or task; a rule decides whether the result matters; and a notification reaches the intended inbox. Those are separate responsibilities. A schedule determines when a task runs, while an event trigger—where the platform supports one—starts work in response to an event. A page watch additionally needs a defined target and a rule for what counts as meaningful change.

No source establishes which agent, scheduler, page comparison method, hosting environment, or noise controls Ankita uses. Those choices determine whether the workflow is reproducible and how it behaves when a page changes, a check fails, or delivery is interrupted.
Choose the trigger and execution environment
Scheduled checks
OpenAI’s Scheduled Tasks documentation describes one-time or recurring tasks, including monitoring for changes. Availability depends on account, app, and app version. These capabilities show one possible product pattern; they do not establish that ChatGPT runs this particular workflow.

Event-triggered work
OpenAI’s Work overview describes tasks that may run on a schedule, respond to a trigger, or monitor changes. Supported triggers and access depend on plan and workspace conditions. Confirm the actual account’s available features and connected-app permissions before designing around them.
Whether a workflow runs in a hosted service or depends on a local computer is also a platform-specific detail. The available product and Telegram documentation does not establish that this workflow needs a dedicated computer or any particular hardware.

Check account limits before relying on recurrence
OpenAI’s Help Center currently reports active-task limits of 3 for Free and Go, 5 for Plus, 10 for Business and Edu, and 15 for Pro and Enterprise; it also says Free recurring schedules run no more than once daily. These are account-specific details that can change, not universal limits. Verify the current rules for the relevant plan and workspace before publishing or deploying a schedule. Define what a page watch considers a change
A page watch is only as useful as its comparison rule. Before implementing one, specify the exact page or content area and what should count as a change that deserves an alert. The sources do not establish how Ankita’s workflow compares pages or suppresses noisy alerts, so a particular detection recipe or accuracy claim would be unsupported.

- Meaningful change: decide which changes merit attention rather than assuming every difference does.
- Failure behavior: decide how the workflow should report that a check could not complete, rather than treating a failed check as evidence that nothing changed.
- Alert control: determine whether duplicate alerts, approval, or quiet hours matter for the intended use.
Send notifications to Telegram
Telegram’s Bot API is an HTTPS interface for server-side code. Its sendMessage method takes a target chat identifier and text. A bot cannot begin a private conversation with a user who has not contacted it: Telegram says the user must first message the bot or add it to a group. The current Bot API reference, listed as version 10.3 and dated August 24, 2026, specifies that sendMessage text may contain 1–4096 characters after entity parsing. Keep that constraint in mind if a check might produce long output; the reference does not prescribe how a particular workflow should summarize or split alerts. Telegram sendMessage

Protect the bot token
A Telegram bot token is a credential: anyone who has it can control the bot. Keep it in protected configuration, not public code, logs intended for sharing, or screenshots. Restrict access to the systems and people that need it, and rotate the token if it is exposed. Telegram bot introduction

A reliable build account needs enough detail for another person to understand what runs, where it runs, and what happens when something goes wrong. For a workflow described as Ankita’s, the product or agent and version, hosting location, schedule and timezone, watched pages, change rule, failure behavior, Telegram bot and chat configuration, and any approval, quiet-hour, or duplicate-alert rules are not established here. Without those facts, the article can explain the pattern but cannot honestly claim to document her implementation.
