Where is Willy, and when is the Fish Shop open?
The Fish Shop is on the Beach docks south of Pelican Town. Its standard sales hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. The shop carries fishing supplies including rods, bait, tackle, fish tanks, and crab pots; some tackle depends on your fishing skill.

On a regular day, Willy’s routine is:
- 6:10 AM: fishes outside the Fish Shop.
- 8:50 AM: returns to the shop.
- 9:00 AM–5:00 PM: works the counter.
- After 5:00 PM: fishes on the Beach.
- 10:00 PM: heads home.
These are baseline times, not a guarantee for every calendar day. Check the weather, weekday, season, and festival schedule before making a trip specifically to see him or shop.
Schedule changes to watch for
- Rain: After work, Willy goes to the Saloon instead of fishing on the Beach.
- Non-rainy Saturdays: The Fish Shop does not sell, even though you can enter the building. Willy fishes around town.
- Other exceptions: Winter evenings, his Spring 9 clinic visit, festivals, and event schedules can change his routine.
What do Willy’s heart events and friendship rewards unlock?
Willy mails recipes as your friendship grows. At three hearts, he sends Chowder; at five, Escargot; at seven, Fish Stew; and at nine, Lobster Bisque.

Six-heart Beach event
With six hearts, enter the Beach between 6:00 AM and 5:10 PM to trigger Willy’s event with Gus. Crabs run around the Fish Shop, Gus offers to buy them, and the scene ends with a temporary Crab Cake special at the Saloon. Willy is not marriageable.

How does repairing Willy’s boat change access?
After you repair Willy’s boat, you can buy a ticket in the Fish Shop’s back room. The Fish Shop door then opens at 8:00 AM, earlier than its standard 9:00 AM sales opening. This changes access to the building; it does not change Willy’s daily schedule. With the Key To The Town, boat access can be available at any time.
