Identify the spore maiden and its threat
Kotaku’s Zack Zwiezen reports that the game’s characters use “floating ballsacks” as a colloquial description; the enemy is called a spore maiden. It releases floating spores that fire needles, and the report says it can continue spawning them until it dies. That makes the maiden an ongoing source of incoming projectiles, rather than a target you can safely ignore.
