You can automate a Hindi video playlist for YouTube Live by putting the videos in an FFmpeg concat list, connecting FFmpeg to the stream URL and key from YouTube Studio, and running the encoder on a machine with reliable power and internet. For a continuous broadcast, test the playlist’s repeat behavior with your installed FFmpeg build before relying on it unattended: concat support does not guarantee seamless looping for every collection of files.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. Enabling it for the first time may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help.
- FFmpeg installed on the computer or server that will run the stream.
- The Hindi video files you are authorized to broadcast, with their paths, durations, codecs, dimensions, frame rates, and audio properties checked.
- A stable internet connection with enough sustained upload capacity for the stream.
- The server URL and stream key shown in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room.
The language of the videos does not change the encoder setup. The important variables are the media files, FFmpeg build, network, and YouTube ingest details.

Prepare and order the playlist
Check rights and media properties
Confirm that you own or have permission to broadcast every video and audio track. Note each file’s duration, video and audio codecs, dimensions, frame rate, and audio properties. Mixed media can require normalization; do not assume that files with different properties can be joined by stream-copying without problems.
Create an FFmpeg concat list
FFmpeg’s concat demuxer reads a text playlist in ffconcat format and sequences the listed media. Save a plain-text playlist file on the machine that will run FFmpeg, using paths that resolve from that environment. Follow the official concat demuxer documentation for the precise syntax and escaping rules for your filenames.

Keep the list in the intended broadcast order. Test that FFmpeg can open the list and play through the files before connecting it to a public live stream. Paths that work on your desktop may fail on a server if the files were not copied there or the working directory differs.
Choose whether the playlist ends or repeats
One-pass playlist
If the broadcast should end after the final video, use the playlist once and monitor its completion. Plan how you will stop the encoder and end the live event in YouTube Studio.

Continuous playlist
For a 24/7-style loop, validate the installed FFmpeg version’s playlist and looping behavior with the exact files in a short test. Check the transition from the last item back to the first, audio continuity, and whether playback continues as intended. The concat demuxer documentation establishes playlist support; it does not establish one universal loop command or guarantee seamless transitions for arbitrary media.

Create the YouTube Live stream
- Open YouTube Studio → Create → Go Live.
- Create a stream or schedule an event in the Live Control Room.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key issued for that stream. Treat the key like a password: do not put it in a public script repository, screenshot, or tutorial example.
If this is the channel’s first live broadcast, allow up to 24 hours for YouTube’s activation process before troubleshooting FFmpeg.
Connect FFmpeg using YouTube’s ingest details
Use the exact server URL shown in Live Control Room. Prefer YouTube’s RTMPS endpoint when the installed FFmpeg build and issued endpoint support it. Google describes RTMPS as RTMP carried through SSL/TLS; its ingest guide specifies the RTMPS endpoint, application path, port 443, and SNI hostname authentication. Enter the stream key only in the encoder configuration needed to authenticate. Avoid exposing it in shell history, logs, screenshots, or source control. FFmpeg command-line and playlist behavior depends on the installed build and your media, so there is no single verified command here that can be promised to work unchanged for every Hindi video playlist. Use FFmpeg’s official format documentation and test the exact output and endpoint before relying on it.

- Start FFmpeg with the playlist and the URL/key configuration for the stream.
- Watch FFmpeg’s output for connection, read, or playback errors.
- Confirm that YouTube receives the stream and shows an encoder preview in Live Control Room.
- If you scheduled the event, click Go live in Live Control Room after the preview appears. A running FFmpeg process alone does not finish the scheduled-stream workflow.
- Monitor the stream health and preview while the playlist plays.
Keep an unattended stream operational
Automating media playback is only one part of unattended streaming. The host still needs power, network access, sufficient storage, and enough CPU capacity if transcoding is required. Choose between a computer you operate and a remotely hosted server based on whether it can stay powered, sustained upload capacity, compute needs, storage, network reliability, monitoring access, and total cost. A VPS is optional; YouTube does not require one.

- Use process supervision and alerting appropriate to the operating system or hosting environment if you need a process to restart after failure.
- Monitor disk space and network availability as well as FFmpeg output and YouTube’s stream health.
- Keep stream keys out of logs and alert messages.
- Test restart and playlist behavior before leaving the system unattended. Process supervision is an operational measure, not a guarantee of continuous uptime.
Copyright, reused content, and archiving
Technical success does not establish permission to broadcast or eligibility for monetization. Use only material you are authorized to stream. YouTube’s channel monetization policies assess reused and repetitive content at the channel level; a playlist that simply republishes existing material may not qualify even when it streams without technical errors. Review YouTube’s current policy and eligibility wording for your channel. This is not a legal determination about copyright ownership or fair use.
YouTube Help states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that the same automatic archive rule applies to broadcasts lasting 12 hours or longer.
