YouTube Studio lets you schedule a separate livestream event for each day, but a scheduled event is not the same thing as a media playlist. If you mean a YouTube channel playlist for organizing an event or its archive, check that event’s Details page: the official guidance reviewed here does not confirm a per-event playlist selector. If you mean different videos or music playing during each livestream, set that sequence in the encoder or playback system that sends the feed to YouTube.
First, identify which kind of playlist you mean
A YouTube playlist for the event or its archive
A scheduled livestream is a broadcast event viewers can open; it is separate from the audio-video feed sent to YouTube. YouTube’s documented scheduling and stream-setting instructions do not explicitly confirm that every scheduled event has a channel-playlist selector. Open the event’s Details page in Studio and check the current controls. If a playlist field is available, assign the intended playlist there; do not assume the option exists or behaves a particular way without checking the interface.

A playlist of media to play during the livestream
The scheduled event does not itself choose or play the videos. Your encoder or playback system sends the audio-video feed. Prepare the media order for each day in that system, then connect it to the correct YouTube event. A stream key identifies where the encoder sends its feed; it does not select a YouTube channel playlist.
Schedule a distinct YouTube event for each day
- Open YouTube Studio: choose Create → Go Live, then open Manage → Schedule Stream.
- Create the first event: choose Create new and enter the date, time, title, description, visibility, and other event details. Scheduling lets you promote the stream and gives viewers the option to receive reminders.
- Set up each subsequent date: create another event, or use Reuse settings from a previous stream and edit the date, time, title, description, visibility, and any other details that differ. Reusing settings copies event setup; it does not automatically create or rotate a media playlist.
- Check the event’s Details page: if you mean a YouTube channel playlist, look for a playlist selector in the current interface. The official help pages cited here do not specify that field, so treat it as conditional rather than a guaranteed feature.
- Configure the day’s media: in your encoder or playback system, prepare the sequence intended for that event. Connect the system using the event’s stream URL and stream key, following YouTube’s encoder instructions.
- Preview before relying on it: select the intended event and test the feed, media order, and timing privately or unlisted. YouTube’s API overview describes using a monitor stream for preview and testing.
How broadcasts and streams fit together
In YouTube’s terminology, a liveBroadcast is the event viewers watch, while a liveStream is the audio-video content communicated to YouTube. The API lets developers create and manage these resources, bind a broadcast to a stream, and change broadcast status; its documented operations do not include playlist rotation. That does not prove no related control exists elsewhere in Studio, but the documented API should not be represented as a way to schedule daily media changes.

For recurring events, Google documents using one stream configuration with multiple scheduled broadcasts. That can reduce repeated encoder setup when events happen at different times and use the same settings. A separate stream per broadcast may be appropriate when shows need distinct stream settings or broadcasts overlap. In either arrangement, the encoder or playback system must supply the desired media sequence.
Choose how to change the media each day
Prepare each event manually
For a straightforward schedule, prepare the correct media sequence in the encoder or playback system before each event, then verify it in preview. This keeps the daily choice explicit but requires someone to update and check the setup for each broadcast.

Use a separate playout or automation system
If you need media to switch automatically by time, verify that the system supports timed switching, continuity between items, and recovery if playback or the connection fails. The YouTube documentation cited here does not validate a particular vendor or timed-playlist feature, so confirm those capabilities directly before relying on an automation product.
