The A.H. Beard King Koil Chiro Valor Firm is listed as discontinued by CHOICE, so finding one may depend on remaining retailer stock. Its old price and retailer details are not evidence of a current offer, and available sources do not identify a direct replacement.
At a glance: a discontinued firm pocket-spring mattress
CHOICE describes the Chiro Valor Firm as a spring mattress with a pocket-spring core. Its listing specifies 266 springs per square metre, 11 layers, a weight of 35 kg and a thickness of 29 cm. Listed dimensions are 204.5 × 154.5 × 29 cm; the result does not explicitly identify the size, so confirm the dimensions and size with a seller before buying.

CHOICE marks the model discontinued. That makes availability the first question to settle: ask a retailer whether it has the exact model in stock, rather than assuming older product or retailer information reflects current inventory. The sources do not establish a current direct successor.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A.H. Beard’s product article says the mattress provides spinal support and minimises partner disturbance. Those are the manufacturer’s promotional claims, not clinical findings or independently established results for this model. The article also says the mattress was approved to carry the Sensitive Choice blue butterfly symbol. Treat that as a statement in the manufacturer’s article, not a guarantee of suitability for an individual sleeper.

Retail availability, guarantee and model claims
A.H. Beard’s older article said the Valor Firm was available exclusively through Harvey Norman. That historical retail statement does not establish that Harvey Norman—or any other retailer—currently has stock. A.H. Beard’s current shopping page lists retail partners for its ranges and directs shoppers to retailers, but it does not verify availability of this discontinued model.

How to assess a remaining-stock unit
If a retailer says it has the Valor Firm, treat it as a specific used-to-be-current model rather than assuming its age, condition or purchase terms. Confirm the exact model name and size in writing, inspect the mattress if possible, and get the retailer’s terms before paying.
- Verify that the stock is the Chiro Valor Firm, not another King Koil model with a similar name.
- Check the dimensions, firmness description and condition of the individual unit.
- Ask whether the mattress is new, a floor model or otherwise discounted, and what that means for warranty coverage.
- Get the delivered price and delivery arrangements in writing.
- Ask whether an exchange or trial period applies, and read the conditions rather than assuming one is included.
- Obtain the applicable guarantee document and confirm that the seller will honour it for this purchase.
Choosing a current alternative
A.H. Beard’s current King Koil range describes individually pocketed spring support technology and includes newer models. That range context does not show that any one of them is a one-to-one successor to the Valor Firm. Nor do the available sources provide like-for-like independent scores for current alternatives.

Compare candidates on the details that affect your own purchase: firmness when you lie on the mattress, support construction, thickness and layer composition, partner-motion isolation, exchange or trial terms, warranty coverage, delivered price and confirmed stock. If possible, try the mattress in person and check the retailer’s written terms before choosing based on a shared label such as “firm” or “pocket spring.”
