For a Karachi Board HSC-I paper, apply through the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) scrutiny process. The official form lists a fee of Rs. 1,000 per paper and requires a photocopy of the HSC marksheet. Scrutiny is not a fresh marking of the answer script, and the form does not specify the deadline for the current examination session.
How to apply for BIEK HSC-I paper scrutiny
- Get the official form. Use BIEK’s official website to find the form labeled “Detail for Scrutiny of Paper(s) Part XI or XII Marks Obtained.” The form includes fields for paper details. BIEK website
- Complete the candidate and paper details. The form asks for the candidate’s name, father’s name, HSC roll number, examination year, annual or supplementary category, college or private status, group, contact number, and the paper or papers to be scrutinized. HSC-I applicants should specify their Part XI paper details. BIEK scrutiny form
- Attach a photocopy of the HSC marksheet. This is the document expressly listed on the form. BIEK scrutiny form
- Pay the fee shown on the form. The currently linked form lists Rs. 1,000 per paper and includes bank-voucher copies. Confirm the fee and the scrutiny-specific payment route with BIEK before paying, since administrative details can change. BIEK scrutiny form
- File during the acceptance window for your session. Check BIEK’s notifications index for the notice that matches your examination and result session. The form reviewed here gives no deadline, and a deadline from another year or examination category should not be assumed to apply. BIEK notifications
- Keep your records and provide a complete mailing address. Retain the applicant copy and proof of payment. The form says the scrutiny result reply will be sent to the address supplied by the student. BIEK scrutiny form
What BIEK means by “scrutiny”
BIEK uses the term scrutiny for this request. Its form says, “The Answer Script of candidate shall not be re-assessed as per rules,” and clarifies that rechecking does not mean reassessment or reevaluation of the answer book. Do not treat an application as a request for a fresh evaluation or assume marks will change. BIEK scrutiny form

- Deadline: The form does not state a current HSC-I deadline. Find the notice for your own result session in BIEK’s notifications and confirm the applicable closing date with the Board if it is unclear. BIEK notifications
How to contact BIEK about an application
The scrutiny form lists office hours as Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with lunch and prayer breaks, and gives [email protected] as a complaint contact. Verify the current details on BIEK’s official site before relying on them. BIEK scrutiny form
