Change the Kindle’s interface text size
The size of menus and other device-interface text is a separate setting from the font size inside a book. Amazon lists this option for Kindle E-Reader 11th Generation and later, Kindle Scribe, and Kindle Colorsoft.

Adjust brightness with the scale or the + and − buttons. On compatible devices, press and hold those buttons to maximize or turn off the front light. Change color appearance or turn on Dark Mode
On a compatible e-reader, open Settings > Screen and brightness and look for Appearance or Color Style to choose a mode. Alternatively, swipe down to Quick Actions and tap Dark Mode when that option is available. Amazon describes e-reader Dark Mode as inverting text, images, and page color on supported black-and-white devices, including Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Scribe. Menu labels and availability vary by model. See Amazon’s Dark Mode guidance.

- Open a book and tap the top center of the screen.
- Tap Aa to open reading settings.
- Use the Font tab for text size and screen brightness, or Layout for page colors.
Amazon lists white, sepia, light green, and black page colors in the app. On Android and iOS, the app follows the device’s Dark Mode setting. Other options include font choices, spacing, themes, and margins. Kindle for web, PC, and macOS have different settings, so check the instructions for the platform you use.
