To make the image brighter, sharper and fully visible, first identify the exact model and firmware, then use that model’s buttons, fit hardware and display menus. XREAL One Series uses a Quick Panel; RayNeo Air 3S places brightness buttons on the right temple; VITURE models use model-specific adjustment buttons, nose pads or optical knobs.
Make changes in the room where you will use the glasses. Adjust brightness, dimming and color gradually until the image is comfortable, then correct the physical fit before changing host-device settings. Identify your glasses before changing anything
Look at the frame, packaging or companion app for the exact model name and firmware generation. Controls can differ between product families and between generations from the same manufacturer. Keep the model’s quick guide or support page available while you work.

- Brightness control: may be a temple button, a long rocker or an on-screen Quick Panel.
- Dimming: some glasses have a separate electrochromic dimming control in addition to display brightness.
- Fit adjustment: may involve interchangeable nose pads, adjustable stems or optical adjustment knobs. Many frames do not have all three.
- Display position: features such as a fixed screen, a head-following screen or screen recentering are model dependent.
Do not assume that a button sequence shown for one brand will work on another. If a control is absent from your guide, use the controls documented for your exact model instead of forcing a similar-looking setting.

Prepare a consistent test
Use a familiar text page and a moving image as test material. A menu with small lettering reveals focus and alignment problems, while motion can reveal trailing or blur that is not obvious on a still image. Sit or stand in the position where you normally use the glasses, and keep the frame level while making one change at a time.
Check the cable, host device and active display source before troubleshooting the glasses. A missing or unexpected source can look like a brightness failure, but changing phone, computer or console scaling will not repair a frame that is physically misaligned. Do not change several settings together; otherwise you will not know which adjustment helped.
Make the screen brighter or dimmer
XREAL One Series: use the Quick Panel
XREAL’s One Series Quick Guide describes this sequence:
- Press the plus or minus button to open the Quick Panel.
- Press X to move between Brightness, Volume and Electrochromic Dimming.
- Use the plus or minus control to change the selected item.
Brightness changes the displayed image level. Electrochromic dimming is a separate control in the same panel, so check which item is highlighted before adjusting. If the image is too dark, confirm that you changed Brightness rather than leaving the display in a heavily dimmed state.
XREAL also advises that lowering brightness can help reduce motion blur or trailing when using its Follow or Anchor modes. That is manufacturer guidance, not a guaranteed result for every scene or user. Try a small reduction and judge the result in your own lighting.
RayNeo Air 3S: use the right-temple buttons
RayNeo’s Air 3S support instructions place the brightness adjustment buttons on the right temple of the glasses. Press the appropriate temple button to raise or lower brightness. Because this arrangement is physical rather than a shared cross-brand standard, confirm the button markings and the Air 3S guide if the controls do not respond as expected.
VITURE Pro and One Series: use the long adjustment button
VITURE’s Pro and One Series guide says the long adjustment button changes brightness or volume by default. Use that button to alter the image level; if the button is controlling volume, switch to the brightness function according to the model’s guide or companion controls. The exact behavior can depend on the glasses and their current connection, so do not apply this instruction to a different VITURE family without checking its documentation.

Choose a level for the room, not a universal number
There is no single brightness value that is ideal in every environment. A display that looks comfortable in a bright room may feel excessive in a dark room. XREAL recommends reducing brightness and choosing a warmer color temperature in low-light environments. Treat this as product guidance rather than medical advice or a universal rule.
After each change, look at both text and moving images. Make small adjustments until the image is comfortable in the surroundings where you are wearing the glasses. If you move between daylight and a dark room, expect to revisit the setting.
Brightness, dimming and color are different controls
Brightness changes the emitted image level, while electrochromic dimming changes the lens state on models that provide it. Color temperature changes the tint, so a warmer image is not simply a dimmer image. Keep these functions separate while testing: first make the image visible, then set dimming, and finally adjust color if the model offers it.
If you are comparing settings, write down the original state before experimenting. Return to that state if text becomes harder to read or if a color change makes familiar content look unnatural. Product labels such as “Increase Brightness” may appear in a display menu in addition to a physical brightness control, so read the on-screen label rather than assuming two controls are identical.
Fix a blurred, clipped or poorly positioned image with physical fit
Brightness cannot correct an image that is physically misaligned with your eyes. Put the glasses on normally, keep the frame stable and adjust the fit until the complete display is comfortably in view. Work through the fit options documented for your model before changing unrelated settings on the phone, computer or console.
VITURE Pro and One Series: try the documented nose pads
VITURE’s Pro and One Series instructions direct users to try its nose pads and to adjust the stems of size 3 if none of the available pads fits. The goal is to see the full display through the lenses. Change one fit component at a time, then check whether the image edges and text are visible without tilting the frame.
Nose-pad and stem options are model-specific. Do not assume that a pad or stem from another VITURE family, or from another manufacturer, is compatible.

- YOUR PRIVATE 147” BIG SCREEN, ANYWHERE — Plug the a01+ into your phone, tablet, handheld, or laptop and a giant 147” screen appears in front of you—for movies, gaming, or getting work done on the couch, on a flight, or in bed. A true portable display you wear, in a soda-can-sized 210g case that drops in your pocket.
- ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU — The screen follows your view with smooth, stabilized tracking and stays centered as you look around—nothing to anchor or set up, and no drift to reset. Press play and your big screen is simply there.
- 62G — LIGHT ENOUGH TO FORGET — At just 62g, with three nose-pad sizes and flexible temples, the a01+ stays comfortable through a long movie or flight, even lying down.
- LOOKS LIKE SUNGLASSES, NOT A GADGET — A slim, sunglasses-style frame with a signature semi-transparent chassis and neon logo—light and low-profile enough to actually wear out.
- WORKS WITH YOUR USB-C GEAR — No Battery to Charge — Connects and powers over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable: iPhone 15/16/17, iPad, DP-capable Android phones, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and older (Lightning) iPhones need an adapter. For long phone sessions, add the XREAL Hub to charge and watch at once.
VITURE Luma Series: use the top rotary knobs
VITURE’s Luma Series instructions describe top rotary knobs for image adjustment. Turn the knobs gradually until the image appears sharp and clear. Make sure the frame remains centered while you adjust; a large frame shift can make it difficult to tell whether the knob or the fit caused an improvement.
The presence of rotary optical adjustment is not universal. If your glasses do not have these knobs, do not try to imitate the procedure with force or by altering hinges that are not designed for adjustment.
Check fit in a repeatable order
- Place the bridge or nose pads in their normal position without pushing the frame unusually high or low.
- Make sure both temples rest evenly and that the glasses are not rotated to one side.
- Use the available pad, stem or optical adjustment documented for the model.
- Read a full line of text and inspect all four display edges.
- Only then adjust brightness, color or screen-position settings.
This order prevents a brightness increase from masking a clipped edge or a focus problem. If the frame moves when you turn your head, stabilize the fit first and repeat the display test.
When fit changes do not solve the problem
If part of the image remains blurred or outside your view after using the available fit options, consult the exact model documentation. Fit changes may improve alignment, but they cannot be assumed to correct eyesight or eliminate every edge-blur effect. Avoid promising yourself that a different host-device resolution or scaling setting will fix a frame that is physically sitting too high, low or far from your eyes.

XREAL One Series: Follow and Anchor
The XREAL One Series Quick Guide describes two display-position modes:
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstall- Follow: the screen moves with your head movement.
- Anchor: the screen stays fixed in space while you move your head.
In Follow mode, a long press of X recenters the screen in front of your eyes. Recenter after changing the frame’s physical position or after switching seats, because the previous center point may no longer line up with your view.
Use the mode that matches the task. A head-following screen can remain in view as you turn, while an anchored screen can preserve a fixed position in the surrounding space. These descriptions apply to the One Series controls documented by XREAL; other glasses may use different names or behavior.

XREAL One Series: screen size and display menu options
XREAL’s on-screen display documentation says the screen size can be adjusted. Its Display menu also includes controls for:
- Color temperature, including the warmer setting XREAL recommends for low-light use.
- Text optimization, which is intended to improve the way text is presented.
- Increase Brightness, a display option separate from the basic brightness control described in the Quick Panel.
Change one display option at a time and check a familiar text page plus a moving image. If a menu item is missing, verify the One Series model and firmware shown in your guide before assuming the glasses are defective.
VITURE: optional color tuning on supported models
VITURE provides a color-tuning and calibration tool for supported models. The tool previews color changes through the glasses, allowing you to evaluate the adjustment while wearing them. It is an optional, model-dependent route rather than a required step for every VITURE user. Confirm that your exact model is supported before attempting calibration.
Choose Follow or Anchor deliberately
Neither mode is automatically better. Follow is useful when you want the image to remain aligned with your head as you look around. Anchor is useful when you want a stable location in the surrounding space. If the image seems to “move,” first identify the active mode before changing brightness or refitting the glasses. A mode change can alter your perception of position without changing optical sharpness.
Documented control differences at a glance

Recommended Free Tools
- Confirm the model. Read the frame label and open the matching quick guide or support page.
- Stabilize the frame. Put the glasses on as you normally wear them and make sure the display is not being viewed at an extreme angle.
- Correct physical fit. Use the nose pads, stems or optical knobs that your model documents. Check whether the full display is visible.
- Set basic brightness. Use the model’s brightness buttons or panel. Make small changes in the room where you will use the glasses.
- Check dimming separately. On XREAL One Series, verify whether Electrochromic Dimming is reducing the image independently of Brightness.
- Select display behavior. On XREAL One Series, choose Follow or Anchor and recenter Follow with a long press of X if needed.
- Refine visual options. Use documented screen-size, color-temperature, text-optimization or Increase Brightness controls. On supported VITURE models, use the color-tuning preview if you need a color adjustment.
- Recheck text and motion. Inspect small text and a moving scene after each change. If the problem persists, return to the model guide rather than changing unrelated host-device settings.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The whole image is too dark
- Use the model’s documented brightness control.
- On XREAL One Series, check both Brightness and Electrochromic Dimming in the Quick Panel.
- If you are in a dark room, try XREAL’s recommended lower brightness and warmer color temperature rather than increasing brightness indiscriminately.
- Confirm that the glasses are displaying the expected source before changing settings on the host device.
The image is bright but text is hard to read
- Recheck physical fit and make sure the complete display is in view.
- On XREAL One Series, try the documented Text optimization option.
- On VITURE Luma Series, use the top rotary knobs gradually to seek a sharp, clear image.
- Do not assume that increasing brightness will correct optical misalignment.
Only part of the display is visible
- Adjust the frame position and the model’s available nose pads, stems or optical controls.
- For VITURE Pro and One Series, try the documented nose-pad combinations and size 3 stem adjustment if applicable.
- Check the screen-size or position options documented for your model.
- If the edge remains out of view, consult the exact model guide; not every frame offers a physical adjustment that can correct it.
The screen drifts or is not where you expect
- On XREAL One Series, determine whether Follow or Anchor is active.
- In Follow mode, long-press X to recenter the screen in front of your eyes.
- In Anchor mode, remember that the screen is intended to stay fixed in space rather than follow head movement.
- Other models may use different display-position terminology and controls.
Brightness changes the wrong function
- Check the current control mode. VITURE’s long adjustment button can control brightness or volume by default.
- On XREAL One Series, use X to select the intended Quick Panel item before pressing plus or minus.
- For RayNeo Air 3S, verify that you are pressing the right-temple brightness buttons described in its support instructions.
Settings seem different after an update
- Read the current guide for the exact model and firmware rather than relying on an older button diagram.
- Check whether the control is now in an on-screen menu instead of a direct button action.
- Restore the physical fit and repeat the text-and-motion test before concluding that the display hardware changed.
How to keep settings comfortable over time
Save a note of the model, firmware and settings that work in your usual room, but treat that note as a starting point rather than a permanent prescription. Lighting, seating position and the way the frame rests on your nose can change the result. Refit the glasses before increasing brightness to compensate for a clipped or blurry image.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make my AR glasses screen brighter?
Find the brightness control for the exact model. XREAL One Series uses the plus or minus button to open its Quick Panel, then X selects Brightness; RayNeo Air 3S uses buttons on the right temple; VITURE Pro and One Series use the long adjustment button by default.
Why are my AR glasses still dark after I increase brightness?
Check whether a separate dimming control is active. On XREAL One Series, Electrochromic Dimming is separate from Brightness. Also verify that the glasses are showing the expected source and that the frame is not badly misaligned.
