In OBS Studio, add a Text source for a fixed Hindi product name and price, or use a Browser source to show a locally stored HTML product card. For rotating cards, build the timing into the HTML page; the cited OBS documentation does not establish a built-in timed product-card playlist. Check the Devanagari text in OBS itself, then review the YouTube Live Control Room preview before starting the stream.
Choose between an OBS Text source and a Browser source

OBS documents both source types and supports loading a local file in a Browser source. A rotating sequence is an implementation you build into that page, not a native playlist feature promised by those source pages. See the OBS Text Sources, Browser Source, and Sources Guide documentation.

Prepare accurate, readable Hindi product details
- Write down each product’s Hindi name, verified price, and currency separately. Add an offer only if it is accurate and currently available.
- Keep the card concise. Use line breaks that fit the scene and leave each price on screen long enough to read.
- Verify the displayed price and currency immediately before the broadcast. OBS does not verify commercial details for you.
Add a fixed product label with a Text source
- In the OBS Sources dock, select + and add a Text source. Choose the text source option shown in your OBS version.
- Enter the product name and price, or configure the source to read from a text file if you want to edit the copy outside OBS.
- Choose the font and styling, then position and size the source over the video in the scene.
- Inspect the result in the OBS canvas at the output size. Confirm that Devanagari vowel marks, conjuncts, punctuation, and line breaks appear correctly.
The OBS documentation describes font selection but does not guarantee Devanagari rendering or name a required Hindi font. If characters are missing or malformed, try a Devanagari-capable font installed on that computer, then inspect the actual OBS preview again.

Build a designed or rotating card with a local HTML page
- Create a local HTML page with the product name, price, currency, and card design. For a sequence, implement the timing and transitions in the page code.
- In OBS, add a Browser source and choose its local-file option to load the page.
- Set the Browser source width and height to fit the area where the card should appear in your scene.
- Preview the rendered card in OBS at the stream’s output resolution. Check text size, contrast, cropping, Devanagari glyphs, and rotation timing.
- Refresh or reopen the source during testing to confirm the page displays the intended card and timing after a reload.
Browser source properties include width and height and support loading a local file. The HTML page—not a documented OBS product-card playlist—provides any rotation logic. See the OBS Browser Source documentation.

Test the YouTube broadcast before going live
- Connect OBS to YouTube using the stream setup shown in YouTube Live Control Room. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not show it in the scene or share it publicly.
- Start the encoder and wait for the Live Control Room preview. Confirm that the product overlay is visible and that audio and moving video behave as expected.
- Check that the displayed product details are correct and legible in the preview, not just in the OBS editing canvas.
- Use encoder settings suited to your channel and available upload connection. YouTube’s guidance recommends RTMPS, lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, permits up to 60 fps, recommends a two-second keyframe frequency, and says not to exceed four seconds.
- During the event, monitor stream health and messages in Live Control Room.
Follow YouTube’s current setup instructions in Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder, Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions, and Streaming tips.
Troubleshoot common overlay problems
- Hindi characters are missing or broken: inspect the chosen font on the computer running OBS, try an installed Devanagari-capable font, and recheck the rendered preview. The OBS documentation does not promise script-specific font support.
- The card is cropped or too small: adjust the Browser source width and height or the Text source size and position, then inspect it at the actual output resolution.
- A rotating card stays on one product or changes too quickly: check the page’s own rotation code and timing, then refresh and test it in OBS. Rotation is controlled by the HTML implementation.
- The OBS canvas looks right but YouTube preview does not: wait for the Live Control Room preview and inspect the broadcast output before starting the event.
- The stream health shows a problem: review YouTube’s messages, confirm your encoder settings suit your upload connection, and use YouTube’s streaming guidance to diagnose the issue.
