Keep the YouTube broadcast running and put each episode’s title into the video viewers see. Add a title card at the start of each episode or a lower third during it; changing the broadcast’s YouTube title or description changes metadata for the continuous video, not an on-screen episode label.
Choose where the episode title should appear
A 24/7 stream has one continuous YouTube broadcast identity, while its program can contain many episodes. YouTube describes a broadcast as representing one video, with broadcast-level title and description fields. Those fields identify the stream as a whole; they are not a changing title track for each episode. YouTube LiveBroadcasts documentation

For a children’s stream, the clearest approach is usually a brief episode title card at each episode boundary. A lower third can work when the title should appear over the episode rather than interrupt it. YouTube’s metadata documentation does not prescribe a graphics tool or a standard display duration.

- Keep the broadcast identity stable. Choose a title and description for the continuous show. If useful, identify it as a live stream, but do not try to rename the YouTube video at every episode transition as a substitute for an on-screen label.
- Prepare a title card or lower third for each episode. Include the episode name in the video output itself. If you use pre-recorded files, incorporate the card into each file at its start; if a production system assembles the program, have it show the corresponding graphic when that episode begins.
- Set the transition in the program sequence. Place each card at the episode boundary, before the episode content, or display a lower third for an appropriate interval. The exact duration is a production choice, not a YouTube requirement.
- Check the actual stream output. Verify that the right title appears at the right boundary and can be read at typical mobile viewing size. Check that the graphic does not cover important content.
- Maintain an episode guide separately. Add episode names and, if helpful, approximate start times to the stream description. YouTube says viewers can pause, rewind, and continue a live stream when DVR is enabled. Manage live stream settings
Edit the overall YouTube title or description
When the stream’s overall information changes, YouTube Help directs stream managers to the Live Control Room: select the stream and use its settings or Edit controls. The Help instructions cover encoder and mobile streams, not webcam streams. They also describe editing metadata from stream settings or while scheduling. YouTube Help: Manage live stream settings

That edit affects the continuous broadcast’s metadata. It does not insert a new graphic into the program. Keep episode-by-episode labels in the outgoing video and use the YouTube title and description for the whole stream.
Automate metadata changes only when needed
If you have a specific reason to update the broadcast’s title or description programmatically, the YouTube Live Streaming API’s liveBroadcasts.update method supports snippet.title and snippet.description. It requires authorization and a broadcast resource ID. The API reference warns that an update request must include required resource properties; omitting a property that already has a value can delete that value. The API reference gives a title length of 1–100 characters and a description limit of 5,000 characters. These are API validation constraints; confirm current Studio behavior before building a workflow that depends on them. An API metadata update still changes broadcast metadata, not the episode title shown in the picture.

Episode graphics are part of the program video, so their correctness depends on the sequence or production workflow that supplies that video. Before relying on a continuous schedule, check the episode order, the title-to-episode match, and the stream output at a transition. Keep the YouTube description useful as an episode guide, and enable DVR if viewers should be able to pause or revisit earlier parts of the live stream. Follow YouTube’s applicable copyright and children’s-content requirements for the material you broadcast.
