Prepare the videos and music

A license does not guarantee that automated checks will leave the stream uninterrupted. YouTube says creators using licensed third-party content should ask the rights owner to add their channel to its Content ID allowlist. Configure YouTube and the cloud encoder
- Enable live streaming if needed. Complete YouTube’s live-stream setup for your channel before the planned broadcast. Use YouTube Studio to create or schedule the stream.
- Copy the stream details. In the stream’s settings in YouTube Studio, copy the server URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a stream to your channel. Do not publish it or place it in a public playlist description.
- Set up the cloud playlist. Upload the finished audiovisual files and arrange them for continuous playback. Enter the YouTube server URL and stream key in the encoder’s corresponding fields. Use the provider’s own instructions for current interface labels and supported formats.
- Check the preview and sound. Before making the stream public, confirm the correct video is playing, the music is audible and balanced, and there is no unintended silence. Verify the encoder reports that it is sending and YouTube Studio receives the feed.
- Start and monitor the broadcast. Start the stream from the cloud encoder and check YouTube Studio for stream health and copyright notices. Keep a way to remove or replace a track if YouTube displays a warning.
Plan for interruptions and the replay
Confirm that the cloud provider can keep the playlist running and how it handles a lost YouTube connection, failed media, or a service restart. YouTube’s verified-encoder listing identifies cloud options for prerecorded 24/7 streaming, but it does not establish each provider’s recovery behavior. Check the selected provider’s current documentation rather than assuming every cloud playlist reconnects automatically.
Plan the archive separately from the continuous broadcast. YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that guidance is not a promise that one uninterrupted archive will be created for a 24/7 stream.
