Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo add a website screenshot to a Notion page with Zapier, build a Zap that takes in a webpage URL, captures it with a screenshot action, then sends that action’s file output to Notion’s Upload File to Page or Block action. Give Zapier access to the destination page, test the file and placement, then turn on the Zap.
What you need before you build the Zap
- A Zapier account and an active Notion account.
- A trigger that provides the webpage URL to capture. It can be a manual trigger or an existing record trigger, depending on how you want the automation to start.
- The Notion page or block where the screenshot should appear.
Connect Notion in Zapier, authenticate, and grant the requested access. A connected account does not necessarily have access to every page. Zapier’s Notion setup guide, updated October 1, 2026, says: “You need to grant Zapier access to your pages or databases.” If you created the destination page or database after connecting the account, grant access to that destination in Notion as well.

Build the screenshot-to-Notion Zap
1. Choose a trigger and provide the URL
Create a Zap and choose the event that should start it. Select or configure a trigger that supplies the website URL; include the destination page or block ID in the trigger data if your chosen workflow provides it. There is no single required trigger for this pattern: use one that fits where your URLs come from.
2. Add a website screenshot action
Search Zapier’s app catalog for a screenshot provider and add its capture action. For GetScreenshot, Zapier lists the action as Take Website Screenshot. Its required inputs are Website URL and Full Page Capture. The listing also describes optional Width, extra wait for slow loading, PDF output, and advanced parameters. Map the URL from your trigger into Website URL, then select whether you want a full-page capture.

Zapier’s GetScreenshot listing says a Starter plan is required for Zaps with three or more steps. Check the current terms in your account, since plan limits and catalog details can change. GetScreenshot on Zapier.
3. Upload the screenshot to Notion
Add Notion and choose Upload File to Page or Block. The documented action requires a Page (or Block) ID and a File. Select the intended destination, then map the screenshot file output from the capture step to File. Do not map a page URL or a text field in place of the file output. See Notion’s Zapier integration listing.
4. Test placement and enable the Zap
- Use a public webpage for the first test so you can check the capture without troubleshooting private-site access at the same time.
- Run the Zap test and open the intended Notion page or block. Confirm the image is visible in the expected location.
- If the capture is incomplete, adjust the full-page choice, width, or additional wait setting in the screenshot action, then test again.
- Before turning on the Zap, verify the trigger URL, Notion destination, account access, and screenshot output.
Zapier’s action labels, fields, provider availability, and account limits may change. Use the fields shown in your current editor and verify the result with a real test run.

Choose a screenshot action for the capture you need
Zapier lists several ways to capture a URL and pass the resulting screenshot toward Notion. These are workflow options, not a quality ranking; the available fields and behavior should be checked in the current Zap editor.
| Option | Documented capture details | Useful when |
|---|---|---|
| ScreenshotNeo | Website screenshot API and MCP server; one GET request can return PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. It removes known consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; only clean shots are billed. | You want an API-driven capture or AI-agent workflow; see the ScreenshotNeo section below. |
| GetScreenshot | Zapier lists URL capture, full-page selection, width, extra wait, optional PDF, and advanced parameters. Its listing says a Starter plan is required for Zaps with three or more steps. | You want a screenshot action directly in Zapier and need its listed capture controls. Listing. |
| PagePixels Screenshots | Zapier lists wait time, selector, page width and height, full-page mode, image format, quality, scale factor, and other rendering controls. | You need selector-based capture or more explicit rendering controls. Listing. |
| Screenshotbase | A Zapier template demonstrates a new Notion data-source item triggering a screenshot from its URL and attaching it to that item. The listing describes full-page PNG, JPEG, and WEBP screenshots. | You want to examine a documented URL-to-Notion-page template. This is an example workflow, not an independent performance assessment. Listing. |
No cited listing establishes comparative screenshot quality, processing-time guarantees, or universal integration behavior across all accounts. Choose based on the capture controls and file output you need, then validate the mapping in a test Zap.

ScreenshotNeo can capture a URL through one API request and return the image or a PDF. Its clean-shot workflow accepts cookie and consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and each response identifies the page verdict and billing status in headers. An MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents using Claude, Cursor, or another MCP client.
For a direct capture, request a screenshot URL and save the returned file. The API accepts common screenshot parameters, and the output can be PNG, JPEG, or WebP. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.

To use the saved image in this Zapier workflow, configure the capture step to provide an accessible file output that the Notion upload action can accept; the exact mapping depends on the Zapier action editor and provider you select. The Zap cannot find the Notion page
Check that you selected the right Page or Block ID and that the connected Notion account has access to that specific destination. Pages or databases created after connecting Notion may need access granted separately.
The screenshot appears as text or does not upload
Reopen the Notion upload action and map the screenshot action’s file output to File. The upload action requires a file, not just the captured page’s URL or a text value. Run another test after changing the mapping.
The screenshot is cut off or still loading
Check whether Full Page Capture is enabled. If content loads slowly, increase the screenshot action’s extra wait setting where available; adjust width if the page layout is not captured as expected. Test each change against the destination page.

The action or field names do not match this guide
Zapier’s live app catalogs and action editors can change. Search the current editor for a website screenshot action and a Notion file-upload action, then confirm their required inputs and output fields before enabling the Zap.
The Zap will not run with all of its steps
If using GetScreenshot in a Zap with three or more steps, its Zapier listing says a Starter plan is required. Confirm current plan requirements in your account; do not assume an old plan setting applies unchanged.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Zap add a screenshot to a Notion block as well as a page?
The documented Notion action is named Upload File to Page or Block, and its destination field accepts a page or block ID.
Can I use a Notion database item as the trigger?
A Screenshotbase Zapier template documents a new Notion data-source item triggering capture from its URL and attachment to that item; your available trigger depends on the apps and events offered in your Zapier account.
