- Android: Enable Mobile data in Settings or Quick Settings. In the mobile network settings, choose an automatic preferred network mode that includes LTE or 4G if available.
- iPhone: Enable Mobile Data, then look under Mobile Data > Voice & Data for the available network options.
After changing a setting, turn Wi-Fi off and try loading a webpage so you can tell whether the phone is using the mobile connection.
Check the Movilnet APN if you have signal but no data
Third-party Movilnet configuration guides list int.movilnet.com.ve as the APN. The official Movilnet source cited here does not publish an APN specification, so treat this as published third-party configuration guidance rather than an official technical confirmation. - Android: Open Settings > Mobile networks > Access Point Names. Check whether a Movilnet profile is selected; if editing or creating one is available, enter the APN value above. Save the profile and select it if necessary.
- iPhone: Check Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network, if the carrier exposes those fields, and review the APN. Some carrier configurations do not let users edit APN details.
- Restart the phone or briefly disconnect and reconnect to the mobile network. With Wi-Fi off, try loading a webpage.
An APN tells the phone how to reach the carrier’s data service. It does not provide a data allowance or replace an active plan.

Check LTE compatibility and local coverage
LTE availability depends on several things working together: the exact handset model must support a Movilnet-compatible LTE band, the SIM and data plan must be active, the phone must use a suitable network mode, the APN must be configured, and service must be available where you are. A third-party guide identifies Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz) as a primary Movilnet LTE band; treat that as technical guidance, not an official compatibility list. Check the precise model variant’s supported bands rather than relying on a phone’s brand name.

Movilnet’s official channel describes 4GMAX expansion and localized network improvements, but that does not establish LTE availability at every address. Its post says, “Con la recuperación de nuestras radiobases y el mantenimiento de nuestras infraestructuras, nuestra red 4GMAX llega a más lugares de Venezuela.” Check service where you intend to use the phone. What to do if mobile data still does not work
- Use *5 or *55, or “Consulta tu saldo,” to verify the line’s balance, plan, and consumption.
- Confirm Mobile data is on and the phone is using an automatic network mode that includes LTE/4G where available.
- Review the APN profile and ensure it is selected, if your device lets you edit it.
- Try another location to distinguish a local coverage issue from a handset or account problem.
- If the line appears to lack usable data or the settings do not resolve the issue, use Movilnet’s current official self-service or support channels.
