Do not force it to act like a stand at an arbitrary angle, and do not treat resistance at an intermediate angle as an invitation to push harder. If the top layer is lifting, damaged, or otherwise abnormal, do not try to finish the removal yourself; ask an authorized service provider what is appropriate for your exact model.
If you are considering a screen protector, confirm the exact Fold8 model and the screen the product is designed for. An accessory intended for the cover display should not be treated as suitable for the folding screen. “Compatible with Fold phones” is not enough information when the package does not identify the Fold8 and the intended panel.
If dust or dirt reaches the hinge
