If six eligible household members use it, $21.99 divided equally works out to about $3.67 each per month. That is only an arithmetic example, not a Spotify-billed per-person price; the manager still receives one bill.
Who can join, and how billing works
Family is for up to six people residing at the same address. Each member uses a separate Premium account, while one person purchases and manages the plan and receives the monthly bill. Spotify describes the offer as “6 Premium accounts for family members under one roof.” Read Spotify’s Family plan terms for plan details.

Spotify may ask members to verify their home address. If a member does not complete a requested re-verification within seven days, Spotify says that member can be removed from the plan and returned to Spotify Free. Spotify also says they may then be unable to join another Family or Duo plan for 12 months. See Spotify’s address verification guidance.

Audiobook listening
The US Family listing includes 15 hours per month from Spotify’s audiobook catalog for the plan manager. Those hours do not automatically extend to every member; the manager can purchase member listening through an add-on. Check Spotify’s pages on audiobooks in Premium plans and plan add-ons for the applicable details.

Managed accounts for children
Family can include managed accounts for children. Spotify says these accounts can have controls for explicit content, videos, and specific artists or songs, and receive separate recommendations. A managed account uses one of the plan’s six slots. Details are in Spotify’s managed accounts guidance.
