There is no fixed India-wide rupee payout for running a YouTube livestream 24/7. A stream being live around the clock does not mean ads appear for every viewer or every minute. To estimate earnings responsibly, use the channel’s own YouTube Analytics data for ad revenue, ad impressions or monetized playbacks, audience, and a clearly stated time period.
Why a 24/7 schedule does not determine ad earnings
Stream duration alone cannot produce a reliable earnings estimate. YouTube says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve ads, and it does not guarantee how much a partner will be paid. A channel’s result depends on actual ad delivery and revenue, not simply on how many hours the stream remains online.

The official YouTube material available for this article does not establish a current India-specific rupee CPM, RPM, or typical earnings range for continuous livestreams. Without the channel’s analytics and the audience mix being forecast, a generic rupee projection would be guesswork.

Meet YouTube Partner Program eligibility
YouTube’s India English help page lists the standard ad-revenue threshold as 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 qualified public watch hours over the previous 365 days or 10 million qualified Shorts views over the previous 90 days. The channel must also comply with YouTube’s policies, be accepted into the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), and accept the relevant monetization terms. Accept the Watch Page Monetization Module
For ad and YouTube Premium revenue from eligible long-form videos or livestreams watched on a YouTube Watch Page or embedded YouTube player, the channel must accept the Watch Page Monetization Module. YouTube says partners who accept it receive 55% of net revenue from ads displayed or streamed on public Watch Page videos. That share is not a guaranteed payout calculated from an advertised CPM: actual earnings still depend on ad revenue and delivery. Review YouTube’s monetization modules and policies.
How ads work during a live stream
When live-stream monetization is enabled, YouTube automatically turns on pre-roll and display ad opportunities. Mid-rolls can be automatic or manual. Automatic mid-rolls offer low, medium, or high frequency settings; creators can also schedule or insert breaks manually. YouTube’s live-stream guidance recommends automatic mid-rolls and notes that scheduled or manual choices may have lower earnings potential than automatic mode. These are platform recommendations, not a promise of a particular result.

Even with ads enabled, viewers may not all receive an ad. As YouTube puts it in its live-stream monetization guidance, “Ad slots are not guaranteed to serve ads.” Mid-roll breaks can also interrupt viewing; YouTube says automatic mode includes measures such as pausing for some fan-funding interactions and snoozing during high engagement.

A platform statistic, not an India forecast
YouTube reported that channels using automatic live mid-roll ads saw an average uplift of over 20% in in-stream ad revenue per hour compared with channels without the feature. The comparison covered 207 countries in January 2024. It is a platform-reported average, not an India-specific figure or a forecast for an individual channel. CPM, RPM, and the number that answers an ads-only question

YouTube explains these distinctions in its CPM and RPM guide. For an ads-only estimate, isolate ad revenue rather than treating total RPM as advertising income.
How to estimate your own 24/7 stream’s ad earnings
- Choose a representative period. Use a clearly defined time window from YouTube Analytics, such as a recent month when the stream’s schedule and content were typical. Do not mix different periods or compare totals covering different numbers of days.
- Isolate ad revenue. Separate advertising earnings from Premium, memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, Shopping, and sponsorships so the figure answers the ads-only question.
- Check delivery, not just hours live. Review available ad impressions or monetized playbacks alongside views or watch time. A 24/7 schedule does not mean every play was monetized.
- Check who was watching. Record the audience geography and other relevant audience mix for the period. Use data that resembles the audience expected during the forecast period.
- State the basis of any projection. If you extend observed results into a future period, label the result as an estimate and name the time window and audience basis. If the stream’s viewers or ad delivery change, the estimate may no longer fit.
There is no source-supported universal India rate to plug into a calculation. Your own realized ad revenue and delivery data are the defensible starting point; CPM alone is not the creator’s payout, and RPM may include non-ad income.

Other income is separate from ad earnings
A livestream may also earn through YouTube Premium, memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, Shopping, or brand partnerships, subject to the applicable features and terms. These can matter to a channel’s total income, but they should not be folded into an answer about earnings from ads. YouTube describes live-stream revenue options in its live-stream earning tips.
