Watch Dogs 2 has 15 base-game Main Operations under the commonly used count that treats the opening Introduction and Hello World as separate entries. The number refers to operations, not every individual mission segment inside them. It also excludes downloadable content (DLC), side missions, and online co-op operations.
Why Watch Dogs 2 mission counts differ
Two published lists use different conventions for the campaign opening. Twinfinite’s list counts both Introduction and Hello World, then lists 13 further entries, for 15 total. Prima Games’ guide lists 15 named Main Operations beginning with Hello World and Walk In The Park. Since the lists do not frame the opening identically, the clearest answer is to state the counting convention rather than imply every guide uses the same one.

These are operations, not a count of all playable segments. An operation can contain several parts: Prima’s contents list, for example, shows four parts for Cyberdriver, five for False Profits, and six for HAUM Sweet HAUM. The number of parts is therefore not interchangeable with the number of operations.

Base-game Main Operations in guide-listed order
Prima Games lists the following 15 named Main Operations. This is a guide sequence, not proof that every player encounters each operation through one strictly linear unlock path.

Twinfinite uses slightly different capitalization and spelling for some titles, and its list includes Introduction as a separate opening entry. These differences reflect list conventions and presentation; they do not mean that side or co-op missions have been added to the base-game Main Operations count.
Why several Main Operations may appear at once
Watch Dogs 2 tracks missions through the in-game DedSec app. Prima Games describes three operation categories:
Rank #2
- Open-world London, explore a massive urban open-world where you can visit London's many famous landmarks.
- Play as anyone, experience a never-seen-before gameplay innovation. Anyone you see can join your team complete with a unique backstory, personality, and skill set.
- Weaponize London's tech infrastructure. Hijack armed combat drones, deploy stealthy spider-bots, covertly take down enemies using an Augmented Reality Cloak, and much more.
- Bring your team online and join forces with up to three friends and explore the world together or take on entirely new co-op missions
- Main: mandatory story missions.
- Side: optional missions.
- Online: co-op operations.
The app shows operation parts and progress. New operations can appear as Marcus gains followers or completes other operations, so the available list can include several story options at once. Seeing multiple Main Operations after completing a location such as Nudle is consistent with an unlock system that opens choices; the guide-listed sequence should not be read as a requirement to finish every operation in a single fixed order.

Ubisoft’s Human Conditions page says the add-on includes three World Stories, new Elite Co-op Missions, and a new Anti-Hacker enemy archetype; it gives 23 March 2017 as the release date. Ubisoft Help names the three World Stories and gives their unlock requirements in its Human Conditions content guide:
Rank #3
- Experience an incredible variety of gameplay possibilities
- every person, vehicle and connected device can be hacked
- take control of drones, cars, cranes, and more to use them as your weapon
- play co op and player vs. Player activities in a seamless shared world
- develop your skills and combine hacking, weapons and stealth to complete missions.experience the winding streets of San Francisco, the vibrant neighborhoods of Oakland and Silicon Valley
| Human Conditions World Story | Listed prerequisite |
|---|---|
| Caustic Progress | Hacker Wars |
| Bad Medicine | W4Tched, Eye for an Eye, and Hacker Wars |
| Automata | Limp Nudle |
Ubisoft Help says these missions are accessed through the DedSec app. They belong to Human Conditions DLC, not the 15-operation base-game count. Ubisoft also lists No Compromise, the T-Bone Content Bundle, and a Season Pass as additional content, so any larger combined total would need to define exactly which add-ons and mission categories it includes.

How to use the count while playing
- For the base-game story count, use 15 Main Operations and note whether the Introduction is counted separately from Hello World.
- For progress, check the DedSec app’s operation list and parts rather than comparing the number of visible story choices with the number in a guide.
- Keep Side and Online operations separate from mandatory Main Operations.
- Add Human Conditions World Stories only when discussing DLC content, and identify them as DLC rather than base-game missions.
